Yankee Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Petersburg

I've been going to yankee coffee shop for years and i've never had any issues before today. Also to preface this i've also never met the owner of this establishment until earlier today. This morning around 10am i was sitting inside waiting for a to-go order and this nice young woman came in and told the casher that part of her order was wrong and it was also cold. She said she would pay for a new order and was extremely polite about it, she said her coworker picked it up but it was cold and she would like a new order. One of the waitresses went to the back and asked their manager to remake it and she refused and said its "wasting food" even knowing that she would pay in full for it. The customer then asked to speak to the manager to understand why she couldnt order it again even if she payed, to which the manager didnt want to come up front and all the while this lady is still being polite and respectful about it. The manager then shortly after stomps up to the front and snaps at her asking what exactly was wrong with the food, to which the customer politely and calmly responded that she got french fries instead of homemade fries and that the food was cold and she would like to reorder it. The manager then leans forward in her face and yells "well theyre called HOME FRIES thats how youre supposed to order them!!!" to which the customer said "you dont have to be rude to me im just trying to talk to you" then the manager proceeded to scream in this poor girls face "IM BUSY!!!!!!!" "FINE. FINE!!!!! ILL JUST GO REMAKE YOUR FOOD!!!!!!" and snatches the food up off the table and screams "THIS'LL JUST GO IN THE TRASH!!!!" and stomped away huffing. She screamed in this girls face and tried to embarrass her in front of the whole restaurant that even the workers were uncomfortable. She then proceeded to scream at the top of her lungs in the back of the restaurant, i assume the kitchen, for long after that poor girl left as the entire restaurant was awkward and silent. The managers name is Louise, and i have never been so appalled at someones actions before especially from someone who's supposed to be the manager. This restaurant is supposedly a family friendly and welcoming place and what i witnessed was extremely unprofessional and unbecoming. I will not give my money to a restaurant where a manager/owner treats customers like this again. It was downright disgusting and the cashier apologized to ME for having to witness that. I think that girl was a nurse too, even after being treated like that she never raised her voice or got upset, she just calmly left saying she doesnt want anything from here after being treated like that. I took a stroll and wanted to have an early breakfast. I live nearby. Maps on the iPhone shows open at 0530. I get there at 0645 but the door shows it opens at 0700. Okay no problem I'll wait. I'm greeted sort of, by an older woman with a limp, she asked if I had money, brought me a coffee in a to go cup and saw me as a huge inconvenience. I noticed quickly that I was not welcomed and it had to do with me not being a regular, having a small animal with me(which he has been there before no issues) and the way I was dressed (I was in sweatpants) I have a small 7lb cat in a large backpack carrier. I have eaten here before with him as I said and they told me they refused to serve me because of him and because i didnt have service papers with me. they did not offer me a to go order or anything. I felt heavily discriminated against. avoid this place at all costs if you arent from around petersburg. they ONLY prefer regulars and dont even have menus out because they never anticipate anyone new trying their establishment. it is a shame because the first time i went to eat there it was WONDERFUL, good food and service. I have been here twice. The first time was bad. The food was cold and bland. I do believe in second chances, maybe the cook was having a bad day or maybe my taste buds were off, so I attempted to try this place again today. It was even worse than the time before. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy and my husband got the corned beef hash. My food - the sausage was chewy, the gravy bland, the food cold, and the biscuits dry. My husband had me try his "corned beef hash". It was crispy on the outside and hot ( I was impressed, briefly), however, I can only describe the taste and texture as absolutely the worst I have ever had. The corned beef was like it had been blended to a paste and miniature diced potatoes added to it that tasted raw. The aftertaste was horrendous! I even suffered another bite of the gravy hoping to get the taste out of my mouth but was unsuccessful. I felt sick to my stomach shortly after eating and spent the day in the restroom. I am not one to waste food, however for these meals, we left them...
