Viet Huong – Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in Petersburg

First visit, when it first opened, was chaotic. Lots of staff and no direction. I reminded them about my egg roll order, they brought 1pc so I was missing the other two. Hamburger was not good, the beef had so much filler it didn't taste like beef anymore. Pho was good but needed the condiments that usually go with it. 2nd time was SO MUCH BETTER. There were only two people working, we were greeted and seated quickly. We ordered the pho and the bon bo hue, so much better this time around. We also got the condiments that we were missing on our first visit. I saw they removed some items from the original menu. I think that was a good idea. Concentrate on a few items and make those great! Definitely going back for the soups. Oh, and the soups were served in real bowls, not the plastic throw-aways we had on our first visit. The service was horrible. Had to go to the counter and ask about our food after 30 min. Had to wait another 10 min for a hamburger with fries, my husband’s Chicken piccata. Our bill was over 40 $ for hamburger and fries and chic pasta.

The food looked nasty as well as tasted nasty. The menu on line looks totally different to what the actual food looks like when served. It comes in to-go containers while on line it is on plates and looks inviting. The atmosphere is loud. Mostly staff yelling at each other in attempts to find Simone’s order. We left our food mostly uneaten and left. A mile down the road I got sick and what I had eaten came up. I will not be eating there...

With a very culturally diverse family (Cambodian, Thai, Korean, Italian, and Hispanic) it can be hard to hit everyone's happy place when it comes to eating out or getting take out, The food here is great and tastes delicious, there is something for everyone which makes it so much better when coming out and wanting Pho, while your little one would like a burger instead. Cant say enough how great the food is, prices are very reasonable and their menu is very diverse, service is next level, always kind and with a big smile. So happy we have this closer to home, hope more people can come out...
