Today I stopped by KFC in Phenix City, AL for the first time. I started ordering what I wanted, hot wings but the cashier can barely willing to speak out words. No smile, no greetings, dull face. I ask questions, but I couldnt hear what he says. Me and my friend looked at each other if we did sth wrong to him. I ordered mine & she came next to order. She felt same way I did, he looks like he is forced to talk. So, we said okay. Lets get our food & go as we have to go back to work. We approaavhed to get a drink. There is no lid for small cup. I turned to the counter to ask someone. The young lady serving the drive-through asked me nicely and brought me one lid and I said oh thanks I need one more for her too. She said 'hold on' as she has to take order from car-customers. Meanwhile, that guy was told by another worker that there is no lid up front. He yelled from the corner telling me to look far under the lid place. I gave him a sign that I did look. Nice of the other employee who brought me another one. I turned around to my friend and gave her one of the lid. The guy came around with bag of lids handing it to me the bag. I said, I got one I dont need more. He gave me a rude look and passed me to put up the lids. I then asked him 'are you the manager?' He said no. I said ok and moved over to wait on my food. He came back again throwing his words carelessly 'do you need a manager? I said 'I wish I can speak to one'. He went and called the manager and stood right there looking at me. Manager came smiling saying 'yes maam, what can I help you? I said to her that he looks like not happy, not wanting to talk or answer question. I asked him about hot wings and KFC chicken but he us not willing to speak out right tone. It is wiered that employee dont move over but stairs while customer addresses their concern. So, she said sorry. They dont know the test they cant tell. I said, I didnt ask him the taste. Was asking if the chicken would be hot same as the wing as employee should be able to explain the product they have. So, sge explained and went back. Here come the guy again throwing his hands and words at me saying "I have acid reflux, i dont eat spicy and I dont know what it taste ....." I wish if he has said it as in apologizing tone. But he wasnt. He firgot that I am customer standing infront of him. I looked at him in surprise that he is trying to create arguement. Me and my friend looked at each other. He continued with his bad attitude. I said to him, Sir, i am not argueing with you. I talked to your manager you should talk to ur manager. He even went on saying "you have a personal problem with me that I am a cashier ....." I said again sir would you please not talk to me? He wouldnt stop. It looks like another costomer talking to the other customer. As employee, he should just do his job and let it go. But his case is different. I told him, i came here to get food. I dont gace personla problem with him but I hace buisness problem which I have addressed to your manager. If you respect ur job and ur manager, you shouldnt talk ti ur customers like this. He didnt dare. My friend asked him, 'would you please let go and get over it?' We just need our food. He continued... I asked the other employee from the back to let the manager know and to let him not talk to us. She came and told him to go back not to talk to them. He wouldnt shut up! I looked up and around if there is a camera recording his actions so the upper mgt could see. I didnt see one. I am sure I overlooked as I am upset being disrespected by employee. Anyway, we got our food by another employee who told the guy to quit fussing and apologized to us. We knew that manager is not going to discipline that typical employee as he didnt care to respect us or her. In my opinion, he needs to be fired till he understands what customer service mean. Read moreI believe the managers you have employed there have made a great discovery. Each time I have visited recently I have been told that it will take twenty (20) minutes to cook the chicken that I had ordered. It did not matter if it was at lunch time or dinner; it was always twenty minutes for the chicken to cook. On 04/26/2012 I tried an experiment, I went through the drive through and ordered a twelve (12) piece mixed family meal and as if they knew it was me, told me it would be “twenty minutes to cook” and "would you like to wait". I told the person on the speaker that it would be fine because I had to run an errand that would take about the same amount of time. I ran my errand and then came back through the drive through and ordered a twelve (12) piece mixed family meal and guess what I was told? That is right, “it will be twenty minutes to cook” and “would you like to wait?” which I did not.
The great discovery I mentioned previously is they have discovered that if all customers are told it will take twenty minutes, they never have to cook any chicken. This was further proven when I drove around the side of the building there were two employees standing at the side entrance smoking. I will say that I had to laugh when they looked at me with “deer in the headlights” look like they were shocked that a customer would even be there trying...

Right of the bat, I received no greeting and the woman taking my order kept cutting me off while I was talking and interrupting me before I could finish explaining what I wanted. When I tried to order a side of fries for a menu item, for whatever reason that was not allowed and she kept cutting me off instead of offering to substitute fries for mashed potatoes. She was very rude when she misheard my order for a sweet lightning to drink as a sweet tea saying “that’s what I said”. When I tried to clarify my order after being cut off, the person taking my order had an attitude with me. Then I pull around and there was a young man who also didn’t greet me who gave me my total. He handed me my food without a farewell or any kind of salutation. I decided to check my order at the window and the young man said that I couldn’t check it at the window because they are on a timer.
