King House Restaurant — Restaurant in Phenix City

Today was my first time buying food from this place, I tasted it when I got home. I immediately regretted spending $34.45 on some food that was going to my trash. I called back to let them know I would like a refund because the food tasted like it was cooked in old grease and I would return the food( just so they could see that I didn’t eat it). After about an hour the manager contacted me asking “what happened?”.So I explained to her exactly what happened. She talked over me about their NO REFUND POLICY. At this point I don’t care about the refund. I inform her for future reference the customer is always right and they should consider rewriting their policy because when something don’t taste right to me(customer/consumer) I should have an option for a refund instead of a new order of food cooked in the same old grease. Update: Ordered a wonton soup and eggrolls to go. The eggrolls were bad, they had soured and it wasn't because of the cabbage. I've eaten there many times. I won't risk getting food poisoning.

Ordered take out, sweet and sour chicken substituted egg foo yung sauce. Sweet and sour is too sweet for my taste. They'll make adjustments to your order no problem. Best egg foo yung sauce I've ever had. Has a touch of spice to it. They have a 100 on their health rating, something I always check out. The customer service is great! This place was terrible, I placed my order and asked how long it would take and the lady at the front counter said 5-10 mins. That seemed odd to me but when I got my food home(I live 5 mins from the restaurant) everything tasted old. The rice had a weird taste like it’s been sitting of awhile or even a few days old. The general Taos chicken was soggy like it was cooked the day before and just heated up in a microwave. I ordered a side of the Beef lo mein and the noodles was squishy and just not edible.
