Waffle House — Restaurant in Phenix City

I went to purchase a waffle and sausage platter. The order was taken promptly, and she even prepared, well started to prepare it. She put the batter in the waffle maker and walked away. She took a few orders then walked around talking to 1 of her friends that entered the restaurant. She wasn't waiting on them, but yapping away with them. I observed the 2 cooks busy trying to fill all orders. 1 cook finally asked her did she forget the waffle. She walked towards the waffle maker and rudely attempted to plate an overcooked waffle, anyone could tell it was overcooked and crunchy. I attempted 3 times to get her attention to tell her that is not what I paid for and will not accept that to eat. She ignored me until the cook stepped up to her and told her that she couldn't serve me that. She slammed it in the trash and walked away so aggressively. The cook who had finally caught a break from orders made my waffle excellent! I was very dissatisfied with the cashier's behavior entirely. Once the waffle was done and she brought it to me, she was talking across the room to her friend and just dropped my food in front of me and walked away. I definitely will not order anything if I return in the future if she has to be the one...

I am a regular at this waffle house location, i come here 2-3 times a week, and i always get exactly the same thing. I ordered triple hashbrowns with 6 cheese and a side of grits with 3 cheese, like I always do. Hashbrowns were fine. The grits had 6-7 pieces of cheese in it, AND the grits were so cold the cheese wasn't even SLIGHTLY melted. When I mentioned it had twice the cheese I ordered the waitress, Jennesee, gave me attitude and said, "It must be the way they stacked it, because I saw them put the grits in." I clearly saw 3 pieces sticking up out of it, and when I lifted 2 of them to try to mix it in, I saw at least 2 more on the bottom. I get the same order every time I go to waffle house. I know what it's meant to look like mixed up. This is twice the cheese. Not to mention, I had to ask for a plate cause the grits were falling out of the bowl. Normally, i wouldn't be upset with extra cheese, but these grits were cold, so I couldn't mix it in properly, AND they weren't even...

My husband and I used to visit this place once a week until we moved away. Always had great food and service. Today I and my daughter stopped for breakfast. Our waitress was new to food service. That is not a problem. Food service is hard. The problems started after she finally got our order. After 10 minutes another waitress came over to fill our drink order. After another 5 minutes, our original waitress came by to let us know she was going to put in our food order. We told her we would just pay for our drinks and go. She went to total our check and told us another waitress had put our order in and it was coming out. Told her fine. She immediately walked over to a cook and had a whispered conversation with him. Eight minutes later, our food came out. I gave our coffee server a dollar. I gave another server who checked on us a dollar. And our server got a dollar. I don't like liars. I heard the manager talking about another customer in a deragatory way. Won't be back...
