I have previously posted here because I visit Phenix City frequently and have highly recommended the location on Crosswind. Tonight I was taken aback by a young man (or not) named Jay, who spoke to me so rudely, for simply asking if my pizza would actually arrive. It had been a long day and I hadn't eaten. Not his problem or anyone else, I was simply looking for an honest answer since I was told my pizza had left the building over a half hour prior. I was staying less than a mile away. This was also after 1.5hr after the original order. He began yelling and speaking in a demeaning tone as he informed me he was secure in his job and he would not give me his managers name and claimed to be the manager. I did offer him some advice. If a third party delivery service messed up and he received a few phone calls from them, which was his justification for talking to me in a more than derogatory way, mind you, I did not speak to him disparagingly at any point, he may want to rethink working in customer service. I meant that. He kept repeating that he received 100 calls about my pizza and "thats it, this is it, its on its way and thats all you need to know." I asked why he was so angry with me and why he felt it necessary to talk to me like that. He doubled down. He received too many calls from Doordash and me. This was my second call and it was over a 1.5hr period. I was never disgruntled. I simply wanted to know what the situation was so I would know if I needed to make other dinner plans. I don't get upset when things dont happen to plan. I just adjust and move forward. Enter Adrian who delivered the pizza. He apologized for the mix up and explained that the Doordash rep took orders and delivered them to the wrong people etc. This is all Jay had to say to me. I can't account for Doordash. Im the customer, though. I didn't do anything but order a pizza. U do feel bad that 3rd party service ended up with Adrian's tip. Ill jave to drop one by.
I understand things happen and I would have been understanding had Jay not treated me so poorly. Nothing justifies the way the gentlemen (or lack thereof) spoke to me. I found out Jay isnt even a manager and a manager named Jeanette, sent her apologies and wasnt going to charge me for the pizza. I hooe Jay was not behaving this way under her watch. Everything starts with the head. Adrian was very nice. That's what I'm used to when I order from this location. It doesn't shock me that their review score has gone way down since my last visit and order from here. If people are encountering someone who loses it when asked what the situation is with the delivery of food they paid for and had been waiting for over an hour, they shouldn't be qorjing with people at all. The pizza was excellent, but honestly, the way a person treats me sticks. I will probably no longer recommend this location nor order from it. If I sent any business partner here and they were treated the same way, I'd be mortified. The anger in his voice was insane. I can't imagine how this company allows someone in their employ to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible location to order from. Had a pick up time for 5:15, when I got there I asked the young man if my order was ready. First he couldn't figure out where my order was in their computer. Then he want to ask someone, came back to me and said someone will call your name when it's ready. Ok no big deal I can wait an extra few min. 25 min go buy and I haven't seen my order being made. I go up and ask a different person what's going on with morder. She goes to check and i see her pull an order off the shelf that was sitting up there since I walked in! Are you kidding me!? My order was just sitting there that whole time! I asked to speak to a manager, because come on man that's just terrible service. To my shock the manager was the CHILD I spoke to when I first got there. He asked me if I asked anyone about my order. Ummm hello l, YOU! I asked YOU about my food. Offered no apology, no nothing. And I sure don't have time to wait around for you to fix your mistake. (They only offered me to remake it or leave it and get a return in 7-10 days....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSecond time in a row my food has been delivered almost 2 hours after Iāve ordered. First time I called the store and the lady said sheād call me back. I waited 30 mins and never got a call. I called back and she said āoh heās by an accident heāll be there soonā. āSoonā was an hour and a half after my order time. Second time I ordered my wife called an hour and 15 after ordered. Sh asked for tracking on the order and he immediately said āsheās out with your order now. She has 8 ordersā my wife asked how did he know which order she was referring toāsheās never called Marcos so her number isnāt linked to any account. He wasnāt paying attention and repeated himself again. 25 mins later I get a call asking what type of 2L replacement would I like. No one was ever out with my order. Ordered at 7:21, received my order almost 2 mins shy of 9p. Cold pizza. Maybe times have changed from when I was the 17 yr old girl that worked at Marcos over a decade agoābut we use to call our customers when we were running behind,...
