Service could be better. No one at the front for awhile when I came in. The hostess / waitress was eating behind a booth and happened to notice me. She seated me and another waitress came. She never refilled my water and when she did it splashed everywhere. No follow up from waitress except to give the check. Food was ok. Had the salmon teriyaki bento lunch. Three piece California roll, white rice on side, small piece of salmon. Tap water tastes weird. Hostess sitting at front on her phone watching videos that I can hear. Additionally, called me when I placed an online order to ask “ur order been ready for awhile how long u gonna be to pick up?” This will be the last time I come here due to poor customer service.

I use to work in that mall and this was the best sushi place. Since covid I have been trying to find a place that delivers to me that is as good but its not working out. They spoiled me. I actually didnt eat there for awhile cause the half off prices made me think is was either bad or had a catch, but, no. Good sushi....better that,it's great.. the best in Philadelphia . The only two places that even compare are long gone. That was jannies by Roosevelt mall and an old, super authentic place that was at Grant and the blvd. Ahi atmosphere is hands down the best, too, this side of downtown at least. The mall is small and hidden but if ur around, I definitely recommend it.

I DO NOT recommend this place...portions small and sushi tastes like the old musty dish towel they used to wipe the cutting board. I don't mind Chinese or Koreans doing sushi if they are doing a good job....but this Chinese restaurant pretending to be a Japanese Sushi Restaurant was SUPER unfriendly (...like the kind of unfriendly that makes you wonder if you should drop a dime to Immigration and Naturalization Services). Yeah, not the place to go for someone who knows his sushi.

Service was horrible. We were the only two people there and it took them twenty minutes to acknowledge we were there and bring menus. I wanted to order the ahi salad and it comes with a creamy dressing and i have a dairy allergy.

I asked if they coukd give me another dressing on the side and like ginger which is served in every japanese restsurant but they argued that it had to be the creamy dressing which means either they just wanted to give me a hard time or that they are not made fresh and were premade already with the creamy dressing and were sitting there i dont know how long

I had miso souo which was diluted and didnt taste like miso soup

My friend ordered udon souo and she said it had no flavor and that she wasnt even going to take the rest home

Finally we had to approach the register to get the chrck because there just wasnt any service after which as i came out of the bathroom the server said you didnt pay and i had to have her look by the register that we did pay

Also i ordered sushi and they gave me sashimi

I wonder what would have happened if the place had...

This place is good if you don't want to spend a whole lot on sushi. Sushi in general is very expensive so I understand if they needed to make cutbacks. For example, the crab meat seems fake. The sushi is okay, but good for the price which is what keeps me coming back. However, my friends and I have never received "Bad" fish as some reviewers say. The manager has a thick Asian accent but didn't have trouble understanding me. A little bit of a language barrier sometimes. The place looks very nice, so it feels like you're in an expensive restaurant. The waitresses understand English well and are very kind. The whole 50% off thing is just a gimmick to attract customers; it's been the same prices since they first opened.

Food: 3.5 Some food is good, some bad. Setting: 4.5 Very nice interior design. Service: 4 Waitresses are nicer and understand English better than the host.

Overall: 3.8 Great for sushi lovers...

I came here for lunch with a friend. I would say I had better sushi but we decided to come because of the 50% off. When we went in there nobody was at the front to start us so we thought it was closed. But they finally came and seated us. The interior of the restaurant is pretty decent, they done a good job with it and keeping the place clean. The menu has a big selection of different types like specialty or 'hot' sushi. I kept in simple by ordering the shrimp tempura, tuna, salmon and shrimp dragon roll. My friend had the double crab, crab and Angel roll. The portion size is pretty small but the place is cheaper than other sushi place I've been to. Overall been a good experience. Customer service was good after they finally seated us and...
