Lackman Memorial Playground — Attraction in Philadelphia

It's a fairly good neighborhood playground. Just recently got a minor overhaul a few years ago. Added a small spray ground similar to some of the others going up at parks around the city (although much reduced in size). The jungle gyms are new and functional. Still has that same sandbox that has been there for 30 years. New parking lot is nice. The rec building needs some sprucing up or a complete rebuild and the baseball fields need work. The tennis courts are un-usable. NO WATER FOUNTAINS - this is actually a disgrace. It should have been added with he new spray park construction work, a glaring omission to the playground. Great place to be at! It has its own micro climate. When it seems hotter on Bustleton ave, it’s actually feels cooler especially near lackman pool. The area is clean and very well maintained. However, I have a little complaint to the management. Should there be any conflict on any specific matter between staff and patrons, the management might need to first research and base their answer and actions on the correct trusted information to avoid future conflicts and also prevent any false accusations towards...

Community keeps this park very clean. Definitely recommend for kids here to play, there are plenty of things to do here at the playground. They have public restrooms and many parking available. There is a swimming pool here, basketball courts and tennis courts. Very good place for...
