Who wrote the five star reviews? Maybe the owner? The pizza and sandwiches at Aldo's taste terrible. They use canned, stale, cheap ingredients but charge twice as much. Notice that competitors are trashed in their five star reviews, evidence that they may be fake. Their cooks handle money and then make the food with their filthy hands. Aldo's food tastes cheap, bland, old, and overpriced. The insides are dirty and ancient and have seen better days. Here's the breakdown: PIZZA WITH THE WORKS: Sauce: Tasted like a metallic can. Crust: Stale crackers. Cheese: The only decent tasting ingredient. Pepperoni: Sparse and flavorless. Sausage: None, unlike all works pizzas bought elsewhere. Huh? Beef: Horrible, rancid flavor that itself ruined the pizza's flavor; obviously frozen at some point. Onions: We asked for none but they piled them on. Terrible, gross, and cheap, they stunk up the house. Peppers: We asked for sweet but they gave us green. Yuck. Mushrooms: Straight out of a can; completely bland. CHEESESTEAK: Meat: Aldo's does NOT use fresh ribeye, unlike the best steak. shops. Aldo's uses a cheap gristly cut that must be cut into thousands of pieces, otherwise it would not be chewable. Cheese: Salty and off-tasting. We asked for American but got who knows what. Roll: Lightly toasted, generic,...
Read morePlease do not be fooled by the good reviews because I highly doubt that most were written by real customers. Aldo's prices are nearly double what the competition charges for better food. Aldo's pizza sauce comes straight from a can, which makes their pizzas taste like that awful school cafeteria pie that you had in elementary school. Aldo's hoagies have little meat and are mostly stale bread and lettuce. Aldo's salads are way overpriced and mainly lettuce. Aldo's fries are like cardboard and incredibly expensive. Aldo's steak is gristly sirloin, not ribeye as used in the good cheesesteak shops. As proof, Aldo's has to chop the steak into tiny pieces, otherwise you could not eat it due to the huge amount of gristle present. The staff is friendly because they want your business. The restaurant is ancient, falling apart, and unbelievably dirty, like it has not been cleaned in decades. The parking lot is huge although it is also falling apart and in need of repairs. There are several infinitely better pizza parlors in the area. MY RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: MY REVIEW IS SINCERE AND I HAVE GIVEN YOUR RESTAURANT MORE THAN ENOUGH CHANCES. EVERYTHING STATED IN MY HONEST REVIEW IS 100% TRUTHFUL. YOUR PIZZA AND OTHER FOOD TASTE HORRIBLE AND ARE...
