I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my experience at this place Barakat store. I purchased three packages of bread, and when I got home, I discovered that all three packages were expired. None of them were stored in the fridge, and there was no warning or indication about the expired status.

I am pregnant, and this careless behavior is completely unacceptable and unsafe. I have photos of the bread and my receipt as evidence. Selling expired food is dangerous and should not be tolerated.

I really like this place. Barakat Restaurant and Market is a hub for the Uzbek community serving authentic Uzbek dishes. It was my first time and I got take out. If you’re reading this review for a recommendation I highly recommend the Plov , Uzbekistan’s national dish made of rice pilaf, beef, chickpeas and carrots. It’s a very hearty and satisfying dish.
