I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bayou Lounge and Bar for a night of live music by the band “The Smooth Show”, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff at Bayou Lounge and Bar truly knows how to create a romantic setting that adds to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional service provided by the server/bartender, I believe her name was Nina. She went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met, and her friendly and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. Her attentiveness added an extra touch to the overall experience, and we greatly appreciated her efforts. The space itself is simply beautiful. The ambiance is perfect for a night out, with its tasteful decor and cozy seating arrangements. Whether you're looking for a spot to enjoy a romantic date or a gathering with friends, Bayou Lounge and Bar offers a setting that is both elegant and comfortable with a beautifully decorated back yard. When it comes to the food, although the menu options may be limited, the quality is exceptional. I opted for the shrimp basket and fries, and I was delighted by the flavors and the generous portion size, it was big enough to split between me and my friend, also tried the cornbread and all I can say is…if you like cornbread…you have to try the one here!. Now, let's talk about the drinks. I recently hosted my event, Rejoice Hour, at Bayou Lounge in West Philadelphia, which also marked the live taping of my show, Joyce Bacon with Limitless Inspiration. From the moment I walked in, I was absolutely stunned by the elegance and thoughtfulness of the setup. The ambiance perfectly encapsulated everything that represents rejoicing and the celebratory spirit of the season. I have been coming here for years, before the new owners took over. The lounge still has the vibe but i wish they would bring back reggae and Beyoncé nights… i love Kareoke Wednesday, but bring back the live bands… but let me get to the person that holds this place together … NINA !!! She is the best bartender, server, host, manager, all around the most beautiful person and spirit i have ever came across. Even when short staffed she gets it done and always with a smile… you guys need 15 more NINA’s…. She’s phenomenal!!! Thank you always NINA !!!
