Bob's Diner — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Probably the greatest diner on the planet. So many good memories here. Sad to see some pretty stuffy reviews on here.

Stuffy people don’t belong at Bob’s, so just go somewhere else you Panera eating, chain -restaurant-going normies. I want your seat.

For everyone else…You want crispy potatoes? Ask, you get ‘em. You want extra, extra, extra crispy scrapple? You get it. You want over easy eggs? You get ‘em. You want more coffee? Look down, you just got filled up. You want a server that cares about you? Go here. You wanna talk to your neighbors? go ahead.

Hungover and need a cure? This is it!

Had a good date that stayed over? You will know if they are marriage material if they can hang at Bob’s.

Yeah, it’s cozy and packed, because its GOOD! People go here to eat well! The staff and chef are wonderful people.

Simply put, you get what you want. Nothing fancy…and it’s not supposed to be…but just damn good diner food.

I hardly leave bad reviews .... but today first and only visit to Bobs diner was horrible ... especially since Iam in that restaurant industry! I walked in to it being busy (never a problem for me) and their style was self seating ..Perfect we had 1 person ahead of us. Finally was able to sit only to be ignored no one came over to us ... after observing 2 additional tables had set themselves Along with 3 ppl that sat at the counter ! I watched them get full service and yet here I am at a table still waiting after about 15-20 mins .. as someone was bringing out food to a table that sat after me ask was someone helping us ..after I was about to leave.. my standards are never high but due to me being in the industry . But today was the top worst place on my books ..I can definitely go on to the service but I’m getting upset even more as I am writing this so I will end this as to say I will not be returning to this...

Bob's Diner is a must visit! My family and I were in Philadelphia for only four days and each day we stopped in for a bite to eat! Our waitress, Agnes, was the sweetest! Not only did she make us feel welcomed, but she also suggested places in Philadelphia to visit during our stay. She was our waitress for three of our four visits and she & other staff made our dining experience excellent.

Breakfast is served all day and the menu has a lot of options! Their coffee is great and Agnes made sure we always had our cups filled. My son loved his Mickey Mouse shaped pancake. If you're looking to have a cheesesteak, their Mac N' Cheesesteak & Bob's Steak Sandwich are both delicious! The fries are also tasty and we really enjoyed their bacon cheese fries. I also reccomend their fried mozzorella! Bob's Diner has a true diner feel and we'll be sure to return again next time we visit...
