Bread Crumbs Bakery — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Man…I wanted to love this place so bad. The people were so nice and polite. Their service was amazing and the atmosphere was one of which is needed in the area. They were beautiful church-going Hispanic people. I just had a terrible food experience. The first time I went, my pregnant girlfriend ordered a BLT and I had a breakfast sandwich. I had no problems with food, but my girlfriend found three gnats in the creases of her lettuce as if they had not washed off the lettuce. We didn’t make a big deal out of it and just removed the lettuce because we didn't want it to ruin our experience at the place.

This week, my girlfriend ordered quesitos for her and her coworker to enjoy for lunch. After taking several bites, she noticed the pastry had mold on the inside of the cheese and it forced her to vomit! My pregnant girlfriend eating moldy pastries!

The people are amazing that work there, but these are two experiences with their food that are enough to turn me off...

Too expensive these ppl need to have menu and prices next time I'll just walk out And won't pay I feel that's misleading the publick 20$ for four pastelillos empanadas with cheese at 4.50 each is rediculous high..they usually are 2.50 each .4 came out to 20$ plus tax or 17.50 is too pricey my carro..again u need prices on your items no matter how good u think they are I can get a dollar donut at ShopRite instead paying 5.50 for one here..that's too high and you need prices on your stuff you have no menu or prices? When I walked in?And why are you close at 2 pm it's a Wednesday '??.Toooo Expensive Muyyy...

When I walked in with my husband and l were greeted right away. They are so welcoming & I loved the atmosphere and i absolutely loved how they had worship music playing. The staff were all smiles!! They also have this cute corner stand that serves coffee & freshly squeezed juices. The food was so fresh & delicious 😋 The surrollos with cheese were to die for !!! I definitely will be coming back & i cant wait to try other menu items. We had the bacon 🥓 egg and cheese and the ham egg & cheese sandwich. I also had flan & we shared sorullos ❤️ I definitely...
