Baby Boss Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Well, won't be doing that again. Let me start by saying I went into this well aware that this was a pizza place who also does Mexican so I didn't have the highest expectations. Would have been totally satisfied with some basic stuff you make yourself at home with a packet. This couldn't even come close to that. Girl who took the delivery order was, I won't say rude, but at the very least blah. Just ordered 2 burritos. One was for my 5 year old so I asked if they could just bowl it instead of wrapping it in a tortilla. Im not harping on that but it seemed like a pretty simple, if not easier to make, request but was just told no. No big deal though, I just had it wrapped and I dumped it in a bowl at home. I mean you're a pizza place so I don't get why it was so impossible to just throw the ingredients into a fry container or whatever but ok cool. Food arrived. Driver seemed ok initially. Somewhat friendly, at least friendly enough. Food was 23 bucks and some change. Gave him 2 20s and asked for 11 bucks back. Thats over a $5 tip, but suddenly he seemed deflated and I mean it was palpable. Whether he was annoyed I needed change in general or felt 5 bucks wasnt a sufficient tip I'm not sure, but he suddenly became dry and then walking away barely mumbled "see ya". The food....beneath mediocre. Greasy ground beef and dry rice which looked like its been sitting in a bowl all day exposed to the air. Tasted like grease and had no seasoning that I could detect. Lettuce, tomato, avocado, and salsa come on the side by the way. What good are these things on the side of an already wrapped burrito? Are you supposed to unwrap it and then rewrap it again? Cheese barely melted. Next to no sour cream if it was even in there at all because it may not have been. Watery avocado and salsa. Ew it was disgusting. My kid, whos favorite food is burrito bowls could barely get a few spoonfuls down. Let me reiterate, I would have been perfectly satisfied had this food tasted like it came straight from an Ortega kit off the grocery store shelf. This couldn't even come remotely close to that. Absolutely disgusted that I gave these people 30 bucks for this trash. This might be the very first time I've ever left a negative review for something and I've had this Google account since 2010. I won't be surpised if we end up sick tonight from the little we did eat. Currently cooking my kid scrambled eggs since we still need to eat something....

Last order placed today. After several times of myself &/or my boyfriend feeling uncomfortable by staff, settling for wrong orders with extra charges, hour minimum wait time all the time, I need to say my peace.

Today we decided to order via app to ensure the order was correct and still every item was in error, inedible or extra charges on MIA items.

Now don't get me wrong I was refunded which I appreciate; however, staff has me under the impression they could care less with the issues and have no regard for forever losing my business. Either that or everyone is always miserable; I can't tell which is true. The ONLY reason we kept ordering from Baby Boss is because it's local and has a lot of mexican food choices.

At the end of the day, order elsewhere rather than chance it. No way I would recommend or justify spending $ here.

ALSO: During summer, it's inhumane to not have any AC and keep door only slightly ajar (No way dying of heatstroke is acceptable for staff/customers). I'd be miserable if I was suffocating in that hot box all summer too.

Please do not reply with the same generic, copy-n-paste message you've left in response to the other numerous dissatisfied customer reviews. It only confirms you lack sincerity, pride and integrity. The clearly bogus 5⭐ reviews are merely an attempt to combat 1🌟 reviews left by actual customers. If this business survives another year, I might die from shock. Horrible, just horribly disappointing. Shape up or Ship out! So long...

For a first time experience I am very disappointed with the food & service. Not only did I tip over 20% (22% to be exact). I've worked in the hospitality industry for a very long time. This place should be ashamed to conduct "business" this way & should be embarrassed. My food was late (ok no big deal, stuff happens) -upon arrival tacos & fries were ice cold (no efforts to keep warm or sense of urgency to deliver while hott & definitely not in an insulated bag) hardshell beef tacos had no flavor at all, no seasoning the tacos themselves were completely stale -they put the wrong ingredients on my on my sandwich that i paid extra for and didn't receive -upon informing the manager of this less than satisfactory experience, they refused to correct or issue a refund / refused a partial refund

I was on my break which is only x amount of time, so not only did i not get to eat, i didnt receive my money back & i cant order anywhere else because my break is now over. Back to square 1.. $24 dollars down the drain and im still hungry. There are WAY to many places to order from! Skip this place and order from somewhere who appreciates their customers, pays attention to detail, provides good customer service and takes pride in the the food they...
