I've been to Cafe Soho multiple times during the past few years, and it's always a fun spot to go to. Whether it be coming with a few friends for fried chicken, to coming with a large group of people to drink (and eat fried chicken), I always have a good time.
Food/Drinks So their Korean fried chicken is pretty much just above average. They're not out-of-this-world amazing and not really "special," but good enough that I don't mind coming back for them. I would say the wings are slightly better than the chain ones like Bon Chon. I typically get the Spicy, which does a great job sneaking up on you and leaving the lingering burn in your mouth. Like all Korean Fried Chicken, there can be a lengthy wait after you order depending on how much you ordered. The ddukbokki (spicy rice cake), on the other hand, is a great dish. I love ordering it as an appetizer for the table. It has a decent spice that's not too spicy, and delicious (though it does sometimes tastes a little watered down). Their soju is also a definite must when you're with a group of people. I recommend the watermelon (comes in a watermelon) and the yogurt. It can be a little expensive, but can be off-setted if you're sharing it with a few people
Environment/Service Very colorful, red, modern fun feel to the place. There's always some type of hip hop, K-pop or US pop music (with music videos) playing. Depending on where you sit, the volume can be loud (like sitting right under it), but typically not an issue. They have big booths for large tables, normal sized booths, and even tables with "love seats," which I find interesting. Service is decent, and it's very easy to grab someone because they have the table button. In regards to wait times, I've never had to wait before. However, I do see people wait sometimes after I've been seated, but they don't have to wait long. Parking is usually not an issue as well because there is a parking lot behind the restaurant.

We used to live closer, so Cafe Soho has become a rarer treat, but we had some friends coming over and I decided I only wanted to make sides, not mains.
Cafe Soho to the rescue! We got a large order of the Soy Garlic and a small order of the Special. In hindsight, we could easily have gotten a large order of each, but the sweet, savory flavor profile of the Special was a crowd favorite. My godson, who is particular (read: picky) about his food was about ready to marry his Special chicken wings, and even bargained with his mom for hers. Imagine most versions of General Tso sauce, but with a decidedly more sophisticated and umami flavor profile, and you'll get close to what the Special tastes like, while leaving room to be pleasantly surprised.
I opted for the simpler, equally satisfying Soy Garlic for the bulk of my meal, and was not disappointed. Give me garlic anything and I'm happy, but slather that on well seasoned, properly cooked chicken wings?? Oh, I'm ecstatic.
Their chicken wings are tender and juicy on the inside, while being crispy and satisfyingly toothsome on the outside. They have a nice variety of flavors in addition to the ones I mention here, and I think they'd suit most everyone's taste buds. I haven't tried the rest of their menu, but will eventually because I'm a fan of Korean foods and flavors.
I'll be a repeat customer as long as the quality of their food remains the same, and hopefully next time, it will be as a sit in customer on date...
Read moreIm a huge fan of Korean bbq and Korean fried chicken so had to try this place as many friends recommended it. When entering, the place is really neat and I also noticed many carry out orders going out consistently.
I have to say the menu was pretty vast and they had a lot of unique items That sounded really good. This time we opted for some wings with soy garlic, fries, and the bulgogi dupbop.
I have to say, the wings were big, very very crispy and juicy on the inside. The sauce was good, but I do prefer more sauce as it was just brushed on I guess. Definitely a pretty penny too as 10 wings are $20. The size does kind of make up for it though.
The bulgogi dupbop was alright. For $18 I would’ve liked more beef. The bowl was big and there were a lot of veggies and a ton of rice. Flavor was ok, but I swear it was missing something. Definitely tasted fresweet and fresh.
Side of fries was big and were cooked well. Its those thick cut fries that are tough to get right, but they came out crispy(as crispy as those kind of fries get) and with a big cup of ketchup.
Service was pretty standard. Did notice a kid taking a pee right outside the window… was facing a car, stepped in it, then got in the car after(he was wearing flip flops). This did not add to the aesthetic.
Overall, Id say this is a solid place to get Korean fried wings. There is a boneless option, but the menu says it was $30. The price point was really missing for me. Ive been to a ton of Korean places, but this just didn’t hit and for the cost would’ve...
