Caffè Ida — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Caffe Ida is a very special place in South Philly. I haven't been anywhere else state-side that made me feel more like I was in an authentic cafe in Italy than this place. It is very casual, down to earth, and a place to gather with neighbors, friends and family. No where else will you see old man speaking Italian and playing Scopa while sipping their morning espresso. On Sunday mornings, they bring their families after mass while the women are cooking their Sunday Gravy; its like something out of a time machine. This coffee shop is one of the best in the city. Everything on the menu was homemade the lattes are excellent and the best I've had in this city. Great atmosphere and amazing coffee. Food is delicious and have a lot of snack options. Plenty of options for beverages and cold drinks. Coffee is phenomenal and have hot snacks and croissants as well. Not too crowded and very homey feeling. Would definitely visit again for lunch and coffee is a must try at Cafe Ida.
