The people were nice, helpful, and professional (so, 3 stars). But, the food... looked and tasted awful. I drove 17 miles to the restaurant; so, of course, the intent was to sit down and eat. Just imagine me driving, visualizing the food I saw on the website, walking in with a big smile, trying to hide my excitement, and then... stunned at how bad, dried out, and unappetizing the food on the long buffet looked (and I mean ALL of it).
I was deflated, when I realized that the pics on the website didn't come close to what I saw in person. I was too invested in buying something; because, well... the people were so nice. I ended up getting something on the bakery side of the restaurant, hoping for the best. The flan was sitting behind the glass case and it wasn't until I drove away and opened it later did I realized that the flan expired, TODAY, meaning it was old and if I saved it for tomorrow or the next day, it wasn't the best idea to eat. So, I took a few bites (it was actually delicious!); but, I ended up chucking it (the psychology of me and expiration dates have history). I also bought something that resembled a chicken kabob dipped in a thick batter ($3.25). It smelled great; but, I took a bite and had to throw it away. It was over-fried, very salty, very sweet at the same time, and dried out. The only purchase I enjoyed was the tropical fountain drink.
I really wanted to like this place and I am sure there are people that do. I even lingered around for a few minutes, convincing myself that the people were so nice; so, the least I could do is be a good neighbor and buy something, anything and then head out. I'm a sucker for...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant on Tuesday night at 5 p.m. when we walked in we were greeted by a young lady who seated us. We were told to help ourselves to the salad bar which we did. We found that the salad bar was a little lacking compared to other salad bars at steakhouses we have been to before. Also, we were asked what we would like to drink and we both asked for water with lemon oh, the waitress bought us two bottles of water with two glasses with no ice. Then to the main course, which was good the meats were tender and well seasoned and nice and hot. Everything was going alright then until a couple little girl start running around the restaurant and screaming at the top of their lungs. When we looked around the mother was just sitting at a table up front on her cell phone and the staff just stood there and watched. I guess maybe we're a little too old for a place like this because we are not used to sitting and eating dinner with children running around and screaming. I would go back to this place for the food but the atmosphere was...
Read moreThis experience was one of the worst that I have experienced in any restaurant ever. We got warm water. The dressings for the salad was warm and on top of that all the bottles of dressing were empty, as well bottles of dressing available can be purchased at any dollar store at least could have used name brand options. When I told one of the workers about the warm dressing he than took the near empty dressing bottle of ranch and put it back near the salads. No one asked to refresh out drinks. Oh and please don't think you have a choice between your meat being rare, medium-rare, medium or well done because you don't. Most of the meat was over done and sides were salty. If you like cold or even chilled water good luck, good sides, or even asked if you need anything this isn't the place for you. While i was there every waitress was on their cell phones just...
