Decent customer service sometimes doesn’t translate to good food. Now it was one of the coldest nights so far in the year so that could attribute to why all the food was cold. The bread used for the chili was pretty solid and held up well to hold the sandwich together but it was the way the sandwich was prepared. The amount of meat that was used for the sandwich was barely enough and it being overly drenched in sauce was just not to my liking. Now I’m sure the French fries work wonders when put into a yaroa but when ordered as a side, using skinny fries, not adding any salt or pepper on them and adding blistering cold to the mix… it’s just not going to work out. Definitely a skip there.
Now the empanadas I’ll definitely be back to get some but they fry them in advance which doesn’t work well in the winter time. They had decent flavor but the parts of dough that had no filling were hard as a rock. The freshly fried quipes were nice and warm but the type of filling used for them wasn’t authentic and different from what I’m used to. Will definitely be back in the warmer months to see if the food comes out a...
Read moreI ordered the $30.00 bandeja de frituras (fried food) I specified that I didn’t want any tostones. When my son arrived, I opened the bandeja and it had tostones. Not only did it have them, but they were saggy. Not only did I not want tostones, they were saggy, but also got more tostones than batata which is what I wanted. The bandeja was full of grease and juices from the meat. The longaniza was the cheap kind. It was not authentic Dominican longaniza, yet this is a Dominican food truck. I called and express my dissatisfaction. I explained it was my first impression, and not a good one. I explain that if I didn’t live as far from them as I did I would come back. His reply was, “Well since you’re not here, and you are too far. All I can is sorry” The flavor was good, but the service, cooking and presentation were off. I won’t go...
Read moreOkay I have to admit the food is great and I guess worth waiting for forreal . My only complaint is that the lady told me 20 minutes and it took more like 40. It would have been easier if I was given a realistic time stamp but that food smelled so good and they were so crowded the night I went someone even tried to buss in line. It's a corner joint but she has chairs set up for waiting so it works. But next time if it's 40 minutes just say that. It better then me standing an extra 20 minutes I could have been chillen or making myself busy.. ou btw I ordered Carne Friday with French fries which were shoe laces. (Not my favorite the the juice from the meat had them taste good) and a stake quesadilla. Yummy I ordered this at literally 10:49pm and got my...
