So it's a Dinic’s Outpost. But you are at the Philadelphia Shipyard and I love what is going on down at the shipyard. The N/S Savannah is in the Shipyard Dry Dock. The N/S Savannah is floating history. She was/is a nuclear powered cargo ship. She was built in the 1950’s as the center piece of then President Eisenhower's ‘atoms for Peace’ initiative. We got our Dinic's cheesesteak and went to Urban Cafe to eat it while looking at the John F Kennedy aircraft carrier. She is the most decorated ship in the world. As far as the Cheesesteak, my roll was bad crusty and the meat was dry. But from what I can tell Urban Outfitters is a phenomenal corporate Citizen and they are doing a great job of preserving and respecting the old Shipyard while making it a vibrant place to visit. Overall great experience. Visit the shipyard!

The sandwiches here are incredible and I’ve never had a better roast pork with provolone and broccoli rabe sandwich period. Every aspect of it is amazing like woah. As a few pro tips don’t go far with a sandwich as it’s best enjoyed fresh and make sure you bring cash because they’re a a cash only establishment (their prices have also gone up a bit so bring a few extra dollars). You should also check out their even better location in Reading Terminal Market. Limited outdoor seating is available and there is an atm on the right side of the building.

The Yard is so incredibly blessed to have DiNic's instead of a Starbucks or some other generic national chain. This place rocks. Nothing fancy, and that's top tier - why do to-go breakfast/coffee places keep trying to be overly sophisticated? And to be fair, I do like foo-foo mochas and single-serving gourmet quiche. But strong black coffee and a breakfast roll for total cost half what it would be at a chain? Unbeatable, I'm coming back here all the time.

When i worked at the Navy Yard last year i ate here everyday for lunch and if not for lunch then for breakfast, lol. It was amazing and the fries were always so crispy. Now post-covid i went here to pickup lunch for myself and coworkers and was so disappointed honestly. The fries were soggy, the sandwiches were spicy for no reason, and they no longer were able to sell ice ( which is something really simple and uneventful to others but I really liked the convenience of only making one stop since this place is so far from my job right now and I have a limited time period for the lunch break). I really love this place and have eaten here a lot over the past few years. I know things are rough with Covid but I'm really just hoping I hit them on a bad day instead of thinking that the place is going downhill. I might give them one more chance in the future...

Always see this place when I'm down at the Navy Yard, figured I would finally give it a try the other day. We stood in line and looked over the posted menu, it appeared the roast pork or roast beef was what they were famous for so we figured we would give it a shot. We got it "all the way" or whatever the recommendation was - with peppers and onions.

I got some nice flavor, but the construction of my sandwich was less than satisfying - once we got back to the office (5 minute ride) the sandwich bread was soggy part of the way through, and that was just not good.

I did see a few other people ordering the cheese steaks, if I ever end up here again I think that's the direction I'll...
