Fleur’s is East Kensingtons newest restaurant! My friend and I came in a few weeks after they opened and had a mixed experience. Starting off, they sat us at a 2 seat table in the back of the restaurant. The table was so close to the one next to it that I could hardly squeeze through them (I wouldn’t consider myself a large person either). We asked if we could sit anywhere else and they said that was the only table available, so we found ourselves at the bar. The bar had large comfortable seating luckily. Our server, Ethan, was very knowledgeable about the cocktails and menu. We started with the mission statement cocktail, similar to a French 75. It was delicious. For an appetizer, we got the mussels vinaigrette. Amazing! It tasted like an elevated McDonalds filet-o-fish… I know that may not sound appetizing, but it was incredible. Crispy potato cake and so many fresh flavors. For our entrees, we were a bit disappointed. We got the steak au poivre medium rare and it was tough and chewy. I did enjoy the thai chili sauce on top for an added kick. The bone marrow fries it came with were also not crispy and had too much seasoning on them. The parisian gnocchi in a mushroom ragu was good, not great. The flavor profile was pretty one note and nothing wowed me about it. I wouldn’t reorder. For our dessert, we saw they had Mighty Bread croissants filled with white chocolate and foie gras, topped with berries. For $19 it was just not worth it. I heard their other desserts are better and wish I ordered something else. Overall, we enjoyed our service, cocktails and appetizers. The entrees have some work to do, as well as the seating arrangements. For the price point, it wasn’t what I hoped for… but I do hope they can make some adjustments as they settle in!

Fleur’s is clearly a labor of love. We had dinner there on opening night. Despite being new, the restaurant ran smoothly. Everything was beautifully executed—the food, the atmosphere, and the service. The renovation is gorgeous and detail oriented. Love how the new owners preserved so much of the original building. They’ve got great taste! Every dish we tried was creative but delicious. The uni custard tartlet was so creamy, and paired well with caviar. The foie gras and white chocolate croissant topped with sour cherry marmalade was such an unexpectedly cool combo. The smoked whitefish tartine with duck fat brioche (gluten-free!) was surprisingly light with nice pops of salt from trout roe. Sesame carrots were nutty and hearty, one of many vegetarian options. Chicken was juicy with crispy skin, on top of a punchy sweet pepper piperade. Steak was perfectly cooked topped with a zesty Thai chili vierge. Fries were thin and crispy paired with an insanely addictive sunchoke soubise. All in all, a daring yet approachable menu. Hats off to Chef Sabatino and his team! Our server, Anthony, was really attentive and knowledgeable. Service in general was top notch. Prices were reasonable given the quality of food and hospitality. So happy to have Fleur’s in the neighborhood! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the building get transformed as well. Can’t wait to come back!

Tried this place out on a Friday night. It was busy but there were still a few open seats. First off the service was phenomenal. I was impressed that it’s a new restaurant and the staff was so on top of everything. No hiccups, on par with or better than any other nice restaurant in the city. Multiple people were helping the server bring plates and refill drinks and clean after every course. Top tier service and very fast food from kitchen. The food was great. The onion tartine just melted in your mouth with butter and caramelized onions it was amazing. One of my top bites of the year. The gnocchi and cod were great entrees and perfect portions. Had chocolate cake and the custard for dessert and I’d definitely recommend the chocolate cake. I had a cocktail and my wife had one of the mocktails, the mocktail was so good it made me regret getting an alcoholic drink. The whole restaurant is very well done with cozy tables, nice lighting, and a great look/vibe. The bar is very nice. I’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and I definitely had a subpar experience at this place. I didn’t mind the seating, but my one request for the food was not granted and that left me extremely disappointed. I asked for everything to come out extremely high temperature and that was my only request and they couldn’t manage to do that. I ordered the steak meal and I was very disappointed once I bit in and seen that it was NOT HOT. When I advised the waitress about it, I didn’t get any remedy besides if I wanted the kitchen to reheat it in their microwave. Why would I want to pay almost $50 for a meal to have it put in the microwave immediately after it is served to me?!? I declined as this would then leave it over cooked and chewy. When I initially requested the food to come out hot, the waitress gave me a look and said, of course it will be hot and I said well. I tell restaurants that because that’s usually not the case. From her reaction, I knew it would not be accomplished because every time someone acts like that’s a weird request, they do exactly what I request them not to do, and serve cold food. We also ordered two of the dessert drinks and they definitely weren’t worth the cost. They knew it was our anniversary and didn’t even try to do anything special to say Happy Anniversary or even offer a dessert on the house since the food didn’t come out as I requested. No adjustments were made on the bill for this inconvenience either. This was our first and definitely will be our last time dining here, unfortunately. When guests request specific accommodations, that should already be done without them requesting it, the kitchen and waitresses should truly pay attention and ensure the...

One of the best meals I have had in a very long time. Cocktails were incredible, wine list was well-varied and had something for all tastes. We got oysters, which were clean and delicious. Our apps were the pistachio and pork terrine which was yummy and salty and so well balanced. The real star of the meal for me was the cabbage l’orange. Sweet and spicy and absolutely divine to the point where I fantasized about coming back alone to sit at the bar to order a glass of wine and the cabbage to myself. Our entrees also were amazing. We got the crab pasta with delicious fresh crab and the cod dish. The green beans with the cod were a favorite as well. Our server, Logan was attentive and knowledgeable and did not rush us as two girls catching up. The best part of the night came at the end when Zoha (spelling could be wrong, I’m sorry!) came out to clear our plates. We complimented the green beans and asked for the secret, as we couldn’t figure out how they were made. She promised to ask the chef. She returned to the table with a take home container of the beans (including the sliced almond garnish) as well as directions from the chef on how to prepare them. I have not had this level of GENUINE service and passion from staff ever. I am beyond impressed and excited to have this gem in the neighborhood. I truly wanted to gatekeep this restaurant as we all know Philly reservations can be cutthroat, but this place deserves to be recognized for their outstanding food, and more importantly the environment the entire staff is dedicated to cultivating. So excited for what’s to come for...
