Our family has tried Katerina's several times over the years, only to be disappointed with the food every time. We even became very sick from one order! They obviously use stale, expired, low-end ingredients. The pizza tastes like styrofoam and ketchup. The hoagies have almost no meat or cheese. The cheesesteaks have cheap, imported beef that is almost pure gristle, so it has to be chopped into thousands of pieces just to be made edible. The salads have hairs in them. I believe that most if not all good reviews were written by the owner. Save yourself the disappointment and possible visit to the emergency room. I have ordered from this place for over 16 years. I used to work nearby and we'd always order lunches. Up until yesterday the food was always fantastic. I don't know if the owner changed or they are trying to save money, but the food I got yesterday was awful. I ordered a white pizza with ricotta, which used to have big plops of ricotta cheese on it. The ones I got yesterday were five little smears on a large pizza. And the pizza was so salty that I couldn't eat it. I'm not sure where the salt came from, because the only toppings I asked for were ricotta, mushroom, and broccoli. It was inedible. I have ordered this pizza many times from this place and it was literally my favorite pizza in the world. I am so disappointed. I also ordered a Greek salad with eggs. The Greek salad in this place always had tomatoes, cucumbers, anchovies, feta, and kalamata olives. What I got yesterday was a bunch of lettuce with feta and chopped black olives. Katerina’s Pizza has changed. They offer the same foods but the foods are not the same. I ordered Pizza - with Garlic, Onions and Pepperoni. I called the Katerina's Pizza, boss told me there is "nothing we can do" for you. Nasty and rude.
