King Wok — Restaurant in Philadelphia

This place is your typical neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Nothing too special about it, other than it's around the corner from my house, and they are usually fast and convenient. Tonight I called in my usual weekly order, and picked it up on my way home from work. I ordered a shrimp chow mein combination platter, and paid $2.00 extra for chicken to be added. When I got home, I realized they simply gave me a chicken chow mein platter. Not the biggest deal, and I usually don't complain, but I called to let them know they messed up my order, and asked nicely if they could refund me the $2.00. The man on the phone argued with me! "Well you got the chicken which is more expensive than shrimp, so I'll give you a dollar back!" Funny how on the menu it's the same price be it chicken or shrimp. In my honest opinion, they have the worst customer service. Keep the extra two bucks cause it's the last time you'll get any of my money. There are plenty of other Chinese takeout in the area for me and my family of 7 to patronize. Congrats, you just lost 8 decent customers over two bucks, and it's really not about the money it's about...

So I called ahead to place my order because I myself have never ordered from them but I’ve had their ribs, and they are AMAZING. So I was craving them and wanted to order some. I place my order and then I walk up to pick up and pay. I get there, hungry as hell, and they say cash only. Now it wouldn’t have been an issue if they had told me this over the phone when I said I was doing pickup. Me and my children have been eating here for over 25 years! An Asian place has moved Across the street for me AND None of my children or grandchildren enjoy their food but here at KING WOK They have never disappointed or let us down for any dish and we have tried almost every dish on the menu. I recommend this place for anyone who really enjoys A clean respectful perfected place Of food.!!
