Star Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I think i agree with the review below i also have a love/hate relationship with this place. More love though, hopefully the owner can see this review and i don't want anything out of it i just had a bad experience. I made a order for a birthday party, ordered a special that came with 2 pizzas, wings and 1 2L soda then ordered 2 other sodas with it. Keep this in mind i know exactly what i ordered and this was for a party that 8-10 people were going to be at and I've ordered from this place many times before. Got the order and the driver was very nice but showed me the slip and said they only gave and told him (2) 2L Sodas. I called back and they handed me off to the person i ordered from who then proceeded to have an attitude, try to tell me 3 times what i didn't order. Then i told her word from word what our conversation was that I'm more then sure she remembered after me repeating when i called she told me "our special comes with a soda do you still want to add the other 2" and i said "Yes, i want an extra 2 Pepsi's" which she denied happened and said that i said no. This is funny since if i had said no then why are there even 2 in the bag to begin with?? and why is on written on all the slips?? I don't care if you messed up as long as you can get my stuff back to me in time im good. Then she proceeds to tell me how she messed the order up, charged me for 1 soda and it would be a additional $7 instead of what 1 soda cost if she sends the driver back out even though it was her mistake for not charging me for the other soda to begin with. Which again funny since i had 2 slips including the one the driver showed me showing the (2) 2 liters were already paid for and the total for someone saying they also forgot to charge me for the one i already had. Of course at this point im at a birthday party so i pay the extra charge for the mistakes they made on my order with zero apology...

Ordered from here on Friday night (2 nights ago now) for myself and Roommates. We ordered a pizza, fries, cheesesteak and a few tuna hoagies. In the past I have never had a problem with Star, I actually switched to star from another local pizza place maybe a year and a half ago or so! Very disappointed this time tho! Our pizza was literally see through! It was unnecessarily thin and there was no evidence of sauce and in the right light I could 100% see my hand thru the slice I was holding! The 2 tuna hoagies were supposed to be one with the all the usual toppings of a hoagie while the other was supposed to be cheese with no toppings! First let me say the tuna was soupy, it was evident that the water the tuna was canned in was not drained at all and our requests were not followed! Both hoagies came with the toppings that I had only requested be on the one! Upon calling the shop to let them know of the mistakes and our disappointment in the pizza I was flat out told “well you get what u pay for!” EXCUSE ME? Because what I paid for was a large pizza (that is supposed to come with crust as well as sauce and cheese, even if the store offered a thin crust pizza that is not what I ordered and crust should never be so bad that it’s see through even if it’s advertised as thin crust (which to my knowledge it is not)! I also paid for the other items I ordered which by giving this shop our money I expect to have my requests met, especially when your charging $1 if I want to add mayo to my cheesesteak! Needless to say I may not order from here again not really because of the food mistakes but mainly because of the horrible comment and customer service I experienced! It’s a shame because I could be ordering with 5 or 6 other people on any given night and when we place and order it can range anywhere from $70-100, seems like this place didn’t value a customer like us and that might be...

Ok, so today I am working from home and decided to try a new place for lunch I got the menu in my door and said that I will give it a try. I called and said I want a delivery, she asked for my address so I gave it to her and she replied are you sure that's you address. I laughed and said I'm sure that address was to the house I own. She then put me on with what I take to be the owner who asked me again what my address was and proceeded to take my order. Just like that he said what chu want I told him I wanted the steak lunch specia, he replied what else so I said the quesadilla plate he asked for my card number told me 30 minutes and hung up. I got a roll wit a roll with as little cheese as possible and some steak sprinkled in it. I was never asked how I wanted my steak or if I wanted anything special in it. The fries were great but really how could you mess those up when the come in a bag with cooking instructions. I can to let them know how I felt and the guy said chu have to a tell us what chu want.
