La Chingada — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Me and my husband have been here twice now, and it is by far my favorite taco place in the area. One of the owners Angel was there both times and he was so hospitable, warm, generous, friendly and kind. He's very passionate about his work and bringing quality food to the neighborhood. He gave me and my husband samples of drinks and food to try, which we were very greatful for. They are known for their Birria tacos and rightfully so, they were so delicious. What really struck me though was their beans. I really, really dislike the beans that come with taco dishes most of the time, but this place is different. They are perfectly pureed black beans, from scratch NOT CANNED and just utterly delicious. I think it's important to note how much more labor intensive it is to make these beans from the dried fresh form, and it is a testimony to the dedication the restaurant has to providing quality food. I was so impressed. Their homemade hotsauce you must ask for because it is also flavorful and amazing. Most of their food is totally homemade to order in the restaurant and that makes such a huge difference in quality. In short, Angel and his partner has brought high end food for very good prices into our little corner of Philadelphia, and I think they're going to end up being a big deal...

From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, the experience was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of charm. The owners greeted us personally, shared a bit about how their restaurant came to be, and even offered some great suggestions on what to try.

And the food—oh, the food! Every bite was perfection. The steak was so tender and flavorful it practically melted in my mouth. I’ve never been one to finish an entire plate, but I could’ve easily licked it clean if it were socially acceptable! The steak tacos disappeared in seconds, and the chocolate cake… pure happiness on a plate.

We even took a piece to go and are already planning our next visit. This place is truly a hidden treasure—don’t...

Man, if i can give this place a 10 star review, I would. First off, the owner immediately introduced himself to us. I can truly tell his passion and love for his restaurant, his food, and the satisfaction of making his customers experience One Of A Kind. Angel, the owner, I just wanna thank you for making this experience for my family and i at your restaurant one that we will never forget. Your customer service is top-notch and one of a kind. The way you talked about the food you sell and make and who you prep all the food I can tell you truly love cooking. You don't feel like a customer when you eat at la chingada, you feel like family. La chingada is definitely my number 1 place to eat in philly. I highly recommend this place....
