Krispy Fry Express Review – August 7, 2025

I tried Krispy Fry Express for the first time yesterday and ordered the fish, chicken wings, and fries. Honestly, I was disappointed. The fish could have been good if it had been fried fresh, but it tasted and looked like it had been cooked ahead of time and then reheated in a microwave. The texture was soft, soggy, and rubbery—exactly what happens when you reheat fried food.

The chicken wings weren’t much better. They tasted like they’d been cooked in the same oil as the fish, and the meat was tough and dry, as if it had been made the day before or earlier that morning and then reheated. The fries were okay, and the portion was generous, but nothing special.

The only thing I enjoyed was the homemade lemonade.

If you’re going to call yourself “Krispy you need to serve food that’s crispy and freshly cooked—especially the fish. Reheated fried food just doesn’t cut it. You’ve got to do better. I forgot the...

I got their sesame chicken dinner special with pork fried rice and egg rolls

Sesame chicken really good and tender no hard bits

Fried rice was probably the best I've had from any takeout place in the area you can taste the smoky wok flavor and the fried rice was well seasoned and not dry

The egg rolls have a GREAT meat to cabbage ratio you can really see and taste the protein in each bite

Service was a nice and short experience was greeted with a smile upon arriving at the counter and handed my food shortly after giving my name

Lovely family-run Asian establishment in the northeast. I came in for a burger, and got one of the best ones I've had in a while. Lot of meat, good flavor, came with a good amount of crispy fries and a drink with the combo. I recommend you stop by Krispy Fry Express if you're in the area, as I enjoyed this one more than a certain other spot nearby which was actually more skimpy with their portions at a higher price.
