On Charcoal: Colombian Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Food: was very tasty, portions were decent, and presentation was great. We had: empanadas de pollo and beef, pastelillos de pollo and beef, bolitas de yuca (AMAZINGGGGGG!!!!), Salmón con una salsita de maricuya Arroz con pollo (delicious!) Churrasco con tostones arroz blanco y frijoles rojos, Pargo frito con tostones y papas. We did not have dessert because we were full but everything was tasty.

Service: Don’t get me wrong our waitress was nice but lacking a bit when it being of service. I’m not sure if it’s a new spot or maybe it’s a generational thing but simple things like plates were brought after the appetizers were there, we kept asking for napkins and it was few at a time. Also at one point the counter girl was on her phone and got bothered when we asked for napkins.

Price: decent not too expensive.

Atmosphere: clean!!! Very very clean. We sat by the door for kitchen which the sound was annoying but the place is nicely decorated.

Overall I’d go again for the food hopefully service...

I ordered takeout from this restaurant a week ago and found the food to be ok. The beans are tasteless but the white rice is well cooked and tasty. I ordered the roasted chicken and sautéed yuca which were both good. I decided to order again today because my local pizzeria was closed due to the holiday. I ordered $54.00 worth of food to be delivered but my order was incomplete upon arrival. When I called back the woman at the desk said I didn’t order the pastellio and she didn’t charge me for it. This was clearly incorrect because my total bill included the charges and of course the delivery driver took my receipt. I asked her to email me a receipt but she said it would have to be done after 5PM because the person who does that wasn’t there. I’m very disappointed with my experience at this establishment today over an item that costs $1.50....which I actually paid for and didn’t receive. I went here because it was recommended but I definitely won’t...

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with Daniela who made me feel right at home. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with care and fresh ingredients. Each dish had the perfect balance of taste and texture, and the portion sizes were just right.

What impressed me most was the consistency—not just in the food, but in the service. Every detail was thoughtful, from the timely refills to the friendly check-ins that never felt rushed. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on every level, but this restaurant truly does.
