Bunch of 7mth pregnant old men... I guess the ones who didn't get married or thought they'd wait and waited long. Now they're vapor rubbing and usually sleep at 9pm. A mess 🤣 I'm just gonna pray they make it down the Blvd safe. The door man was hustling for 20 buck's over a fight that was over when we got there. He was the deacon at church with his hand in the pot. I know he was old and crunchy looking very rude with a dollar store badge. But he was an agent foh, everyone in there was missing a side tooth and the music was for a younger crowd. I would go back just so I can get out and have a laugh. Not many female's there, I think they're home getting ready for the holidays. No time for bars, it was my first time out in yrs and it was sad not what I expected. Wow, never noticed how I didn't need the heels or the reveling clothes. Not much out here and it's sad that I was expecting to see one of my mom's friends there. Nothing but gpops. I just wanted some chicken and a drink after 11pm. But, I got my drink and it wasn't any chicken left. Some ninja didn't take his meds and passed out in the back somebody come...

The renovations inside look great and it's nice and brightly lit , but totally contradicted by examples of "being cheap" and not customer-friendly. Dirty vestibule, drinks served in tiny plastic/styrofoam cups, bartenders can't describe what's in frozen drink hoppers or list what beers they have. Bar has no bourbons, bottles are not displayed to clearly see what they have. No food menu offered until you ask and long walk to the back, upstairs to place an order. They give you the impression they don't want you to order food. Bland low-quality food, watered down hot sauce and cheap ketchup; one shared bottle of each for all of downstairs, full menu but they are "out" of a lot of items. Lots of high mounted TVs for the games, though. The crowd is people in their 40s, 50s but they have overabundance of young hip-hop music blasting. Definitely a place for "regulars" who are okay with...

I've lived in Philly all my life and have never visited this "legend" of the community. lol I was pleasantly surprised. The crowd was 35 and up and seemingly a bunch of regulars. The bar tenders were super friendly and poured generously. The music was good (a bit old school 70s-90s) and the atmosphere was dope! The bar is modern, nicely renovated, and afro centric. The backyard is a cool. It is large and has a variety of lounging area. I wish I would have taken pictures but I was too busy drinking, eating and interacting with the patrons. Also worth noting, there was security guard at the front door, everyone was screened and I felt safe. I went there between the hours of 4-7pm. I would definitely go back. They host comedy shows and birthday parties. This is definitely a casual grown folks...
