If you don't want to read a long review. Just order a Corleone Style Pizza. Period. You won't regret it! Long review to follow: I was away from home and decided to order from this place based solely on their 4.7-Star rating. Marcello's appears to be a family owned pizza joint. Take-out only. You can just tell they've been around a while and I'm guessing they do a lot business. It just has the looks of a place that can really get crankin! The place was clean (not sparkly) and smelled of pizza! I ordered from the Corleone Style Pizza menu. And I can say that I'm so glad I did! The best way I can describe the Corleone style is Sicilian style, but the crust is not thick like most places. It is what I would call a medium thickness. It's a rectangular crust with cheese melted all the way past the edges. So, no crust. Which I particularly love!!. And the cheese was nice and browned and crispy! First, the Carini (think Meat lovers): Big chunks of sliced meatballs, sausage, pepperoni, and garlic! Great sauce. Not sweet. Not too acidic. Absolutely amazing! Second, the Buffalo Chicken pizza: Lots of grilled chicken, cheese, and a creamy buffalo sauce. I would say mild to medium heat level of sauce. The crispy cheesey edges and airy crust just takes this pizza over the top! Highly recommend Marcello's. The guys behind the counter were very friendly and nice. I started to give just 4-stars for atmosphere because the place could use some freshening up, but I changed it to 5-stars because the guys behind the counter were so friendly and conversational. That level of service is often lacking these days. Not sure when I'll make it back to Marcello's as it was about 30 minutes from home... But I would make that drive just for this pizza! Thanks guys!

The best pizza i ever had up NE philly. I ordered the corleone style margherita pizza and it was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! The pizza sauce flavor, the crust, cheese, had so so much flavor and it made me still think about it days after! I absolutely love it and i would not want to try another pizza place cuz nothing tops this!!! Ive already tried a couple of other pizza spots in the area, and this is the best!!!! I included the pic of the pizza that i had posted on my instagram when i had ordered from them. In fact, I’ll probably be ordering from them today because i am drooling just looking at my pizza picture lol i had also ordered a chicken salad and that was also amazing!

Marcello is a proud first-generation Sicilian Italian, directly from Sicily, and he serves up the finest Italian dishes in northeast Philadelphia. His warm and friendly demeanor makes everyone feel at home, and he runs a successful, clean, and sanitary restaurant. The quality of his establishment shines through with excellent service and a consistently delightful dining experience. I have a deep appreciation for Marcello’s homemade recipes, all made from scratch with genuine Sicilian-Italian flavors and dishes 🍝 It truly doesn't get any better than this! Marcelo, you're simply amazing!!

I am not the typical google reviewer but this is one that I needed to go back on today after my experience to review. I ordered 2 pies (plain and buffalo chicken) , mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers and an order of fries from them off of slice today. I normally would call a shop to place an order but I was in a loud area and needed to place the order. (maybe my first mistake) So I ordered this for my staff at the rec center that we all work at. It said it was only going to take 25ish minutes which was awesome. I put the address in and I do realize that business buildings can sometimes have a weird address compared to where they are located but regardless the rec center is directly in between 2 streets, there's courts and a playground, etc. plus the actual rec center building. like you can't miss it its literally in the middle of like fields. The only issue is that the building is slightly closer to K street than S street but the gps street address is on S street. regardless, I have both the shop and the delivery man calling me at the same time trying to figure out where the location was. no problem, I tried to direct them and instead of being nice back to me the people were just getting mad at me and then the guy gave the phone to a girl and she was EXTREMELY rude and told me to never order again and I've caused stress to her delivery driver. I literally was outside and he saw me waving, he just didn't want to walk the 500 feet to bring it to me and I started walking to him on S street and he drove off and then comes onto K street thats closer to the building and started yelling at me that I should have put in the address of the house across the street. Why would I put someone else's address in?? so that you could deliver my pizza to the wrong person?? I tried to be respectful about it but he kept being angry and fighting with me about it as if the food wasn't literally in my hands. He said next time do that address and pointed to someone's house so I said there will not be a next time. Especially after the girl told me never to come back. The food was ehhh, nothing to rave over but its was simple food so whatever. But I was so angry I didn't even want to eat anymore lol. I wouldn't recommend edit for the owner: The address was correct. If you look it up on the GPS it sends you directly there. I also was on the phone with the shop giving them clear directions. Then gave clear directions to the delivery driver and he also wasn't understanding me. But instead of being nice he wanted to yell at me in the middle of the street in front of a playground full of kids. He insisted that I should have put in someone else's address instead of my own... why would I do that. A terrible response from a business owner to be honest. just saying it's my fault when I have multiple witnesses. It was an event we ordered the food for and all of those people there saw what happened so Im sure you won't be just losing me as a customer but...

A few months ago we were looking for a new place to order from, someone who delivers themselves, so we decided to try this place. Based upon the reviews, we were skeptical at first, however, we do not take into account what other people say to form our own opinion. We order out once a week and it went great at first. Good food and fast delivery, what more could you ask for? We thought this place is a keeper, everything we have tried so far is great. We kept going back to try something new on the menu as they have a lot to offer. When I tried their chicken cheesesteak for the first time, I thought, this is one of the best I have ever had. I ordered it again a couple of weeks later to satisfy my craving and the one word that came to mind was WOW! What a complete 180. I could not believe what they presented as a chicken cheesesteak. Could I actually get some chicken with this bread? I thought, someone cooked this, wrapped it, charged for it and had it delivered all with a sound mind. Someone who thought, yeah this looks good, I am just going to serve it up to the community as is. Tip 1: When you cook something, you should ask yourself, would I eat this? It was so bad I tossed it in the trash because who wants to eat just a roll. What a complete waste of money. We continue to pay more for everything and what you get back is bare minimum. SHAMEFUL! I will never have a problem paying more for something, as long as I get something in return. Tip 2: To keep a customer returning, give them the food they actually pay for! It’s called repeat business. We would have continued to order here for years to come. Not now, you just lost a very loyal customer. On to the next….... Thank you to the owner for your generous response to our review and for taking accountability regarding our concerns. It means alot for wanting to do, and be better. We are firm believers in...
