A little baffled at how my wife and I were treated the other day at this location. It is listed as 24 hours, every day. The other day we visited, following seeing a movie, at about 3 AM, initially pulling up to the drive through where we were met with the server telling us "we're not taking orders at this time". That moment I responded by asking "are you closed?" The question was only vaguely acknowledged by them repeating "we're not taking orders at this time". We then pull around to try and order in person. The first door we tried was locked then we continued to the other side where it was open so we proceeded inside where there was nobody present at the front counter. After waiting for a minute or two someone noticed us and then calls for someone else to come as they seemed unsure of what to do. The person that came, evidently the same one who had turned down our attempted order from the drive thru, told us we can't be in there since the lobby is closed. We then tried to clarify what the meaning of this was since the website and the sign clearly states that this specific location is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. She had told us "I decided to close it", and asked for us to leave, furthermore in an abrasive, confrontational and unprofessional manner. We then proceeded to leave, as confusing, misleading and frustrating as this experience was. I asked her name which she then told me it was Anita, of which the accuracy I can not be sure. Lastly, there was an overpowering scent of cannabis inside, to clarify was only smelled while inside, which was relatively brief. I am not one to find any excuse to complain and criticize. For all I care they can be smoking nonstop, feel and do what they want but when it comes to a situation like this and it interfering with the service they are being paid and relied upon to provide, then I have an issue. This incident happened, again about 3 AM...
Read moreOne night, shortly after midnight, I waited nearly 40 minutes in the drive-thru, before even giving my order. When l pulled up to the menu-screen to give my order, the young lady patiently greeted me and proceeded to take my order, as if everything was okay. I asked why such a long wait, when the same three cars had been in front of me for the past 40 minutes, with at least 8 cars now behind me. This just didn't seem like normal activity, as this is the regular McD's that l go to. She said that she was the only worker there and that she had to work both the drive-thru and kitchen area. I apologized. I felt so awful for her. It took me, roughly 10 minutes to absorb that a young college-aged girl was working completely alone, in the dead of night. When I pulled up to the final window to both pay and get my strawberry banana smoothie (made perfectly, l should add), the girl explained that her manager decided to go to a party instead of coming in... and the kitchen/cashier crew came in, when/if ever they decided to. It just so happened that on this night, no one did. This young lady was so mature and poised. She deserves 10 stars, a raise and a promotion to manager trainee. Meanwhile, the manager should be placed on a 'final' and the no-show crew should be banished. The only thing l was concerned about was her safety. So, she went and locked all doors (whew, l felt much better). I wrote about the experience on the back of my receipt, so that l could report it to a district manager. Inexpensive and quick food is convenient; but, McDonald's can and should do better by...
Read moreTHE. WORST. MCDONALDS. Don’t believe any review for this place 2 stars.
I have never had a worse experience, REPEATEDLY, at any mcdonald’s in my life. 1.) extremely slow - waited on average 20-30 minutes in the drive thru regardless of the time (breakfast or dinner) and regardless of wether i order on the app or at the drive through speaker. I have left 50% of the time after waiting in the drive thru for 40+ minutes. 2.) Bad attitude - workers consistently seem to be in a bad mood with poor work ethic. they have come clap back or attitude laden response when a request or question is asked. 3.) Incompetent - there is almost always something on the menu not available. Fries come out cold and soggy. Burgers and made lopsided and look like a child’s play doh burger creation with the pickles and onions half out the burger on the wrapper smearing on top of the bun. 4.) Consistency - Consistently bad. regardless of how much time passes and what I order, without fail this Mcdonald’s hits the previous 3 points consistently.
Why do I keep going back? It is in a very convenient location right off of City Ave. DO NOT LET THESE GOLDEN ARCHES SWAY YOU. save yourself the frustration and anger and drive the extra 15 minutes to another mcdonald’s because in the time it takes you to drive to another mcdonald’s and get your food, you would still be waiting in line frustrated angry and hungry if you stay at this Mcdonald’s.
10/10...
