Mi Colombia Bakery — Restaurant in Philadelphia

THE BEST, please don't be intimidated by the lack of knowledge when you order. Go hungry, bring cash if possible, and point towards the most appealing items to you. Savory : amazing sausages, pork rind /meat "chicharrón" super crunchy and delicious, empanadas or glorious pockets stuffed with chicken or beef (ask for salsa or picante, not too hot, just awesome). Arepas de choclo , like bready disc with corn that to me goes great even as sweet. All these items are on the left of front desk. To the right you get all kind of sweet breads, like bread stuffed with guava and cheese, almojabanas (seem to be an empty bread ball, but they are so freaking good), buñuelos (Colombian are a ball shape, not flat disc like mexicans), and tons of bread with cheese and other fillings. At the center there are tons of sweet bread like in Mexico, conchas, cuernitos, orejas, pan de hojaldre, etc. The coffee is delicious... there's more but I think you got enough ideas if you got to read all way here. Also, if they run out of an item, just tell them you will wait and they will get it...

This is the second time I've come here. And both times I didn't feel welcome. But oh well she gave me I was supposed to be charged $12 but I was charged $13 Plus one of my bread was missing she only had three left she gave me one only. I called to ask how much the coffee was she hung up on me she already knew why I came back first thing she did was grab a calculator and told me that the bread was there no ma'am you gave me one and you only had three you still have two left. There was no back and forth but I didn't like the feeling of somebody making me feel like I was lying when the math is not matching. I went in there because I love me some Colombian food I guess you can see that's part of my culture in a but if your skin tone don't match they'll always be something. But she gave me back the bread all I'm saying is you're not all black area well mostly try to be nicer and more welcoming like you were to the people that was in front of me cuz I did feel the...

I love love love this bakery. My mouth gets watery every time i enter and smell the food. and the employees treat you so kind and they know you already if you been in there a lot. lol. I love the service and food. Best Colombian bakery i ever been to. If you haven't tried this place yet i recommend it to everyone.
