Ol Boys Soul Food Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I just purchased two platters from here I did a chicken platter with rice and candy yams and I did a ribs platter with rice and candy yams I have threw up my platter and I had two ribs I don't understand what is going on but those are not candy yams and if they call them candy and they need to add more vanilla or sugar or nutmeg they need to do something in the rice you not supposed to put barley and rice at all right it just playing the person who's getting the food should be able to add those type of things in their food in the ribs should be marinated in season overnight when cooking there was no seasoning to it at all the chicken what do you have a hand was okay at a bit okay because I I don't eat it but my grandson said it was a tad bit okay I spent $40 and I was so upset because when you say soul food it has to have give you that flavor to make you wanna do it again I called them to ask them how do I go and give a review I honestly want to tell the person that picked up the phone that it was really horrible and it was and I think they should have it to where if you don't like something bring it back so you don't try something different but this was not for me at all I wish I could show you a picture of my plate it's not right...

UPON WALKING IN DIDN'T SEE ON ONLINE WEBSITE THAT YOU CAN'T WEAR WASHINGTON REDSKINS ATTIRE. SO AS I WALK IN I WAS STOPPED AT THE DOOR BECAUSE I WAS WEARING WASHINGTON REDSKINS ATTIRE THE OWNER OF OL BOYS SOUL FOOD ESTABLISHMENT HAD SAID TO ME. I WAS SO SHOCK AND STUNNED BECAUSE ME AND MY FAMILY HAS TO DRIVR TWO HOURS BACK TO DC EMPTY HANDED. I DON'T KNOW IF THE OWNER HAS SHARES IN THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES ORGANIZATION BUT I DIDNT HEAR THAT THE JEFFREY STOPPED WASHINGTON COMMANDER FANS FROM COMING INTO THE LINCOLN FINANCIAL STADIUM THE NIGHT OF THE NFC CONFERENCE. MY FAMILY AND I WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED IN WHAT APPEARED TO BE A BLACK OWNED BUSINESS REFUSING SWRVICE TO US. IT WAS A HARSH REALITY BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FANATICS AND BUSINESS PROFIT AND WORK PLACE STABILITY. Ok so let me start by saying I don’t even write reviews . But !!!! This I had to share . This food was disgusting and I’ll never order from here again . I ordered a whiting platter with Mac and potato salad . I got two pieces of whiting . And they both looked and tasted differently .. LIKE HOW ?? Lol anyway .... the Mac was burnttttttttt all through out , potato salad was ok . My husband got chicken wing platter with Mac and sweet potatoes . Chicken was ok , his Mac was not burnt and tasted different from mine , again HOWWWWW ? Like where’s the consistency ? And don’t get me started about the sweet potatoes . Nothing about them was sweet , they weren’t seasoned at all not even a grain of sugar . They tasted like oranges to me . Needless to say this food was gross it was a waste of money it tasted old , I couldn’t even finish it !!!!
