Pho Ga Thanh Thanh — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I used to go to the South Philly Pho Ga Thanh Thanh but I have since changed to come to this location.

This location has great atmosphere, great service and in my opinion, better chicken broth than the other location. For my preference, I find the S. Philly location broth to have too much star anise flavor. This place has just the PERFECT amount of spices without compromising the true essens of chicken bone broth taste.

I see reviews about broth being bland, please try to order what they are known for - Chicken Pho. Not saying their beef pho is not good but even their name is Pho Ga which translates to Chicken Pho.

So, I have been eating Pho all over philly for the last 15 years and none of them come close to Ms. LIZ and her recipes of love put in a bowl. As a lover of great cuisine from Asia, India, Italy, the Middle East and other places. The soup that is offered at Pho Ga Thanh Thanh is soul food, like Big Momma makes for sunday dinner but you can get this everyday, sweet!!!! I probably frequent the restaurant twice a week or at least once since they've opened and it's always a friendly and inviting environment. If you're looking for some of the most flavorful Pho you may ever have in the Philly area, slide through and order the brisket Pho, yes brisket!!! and make sure you eat those habanero and jalapeño peppers that come along side it, they'll awaken the senses....

I rarely write reviews about anything but I had been told to check out the most phenomenonal chicken pho place if I ever in Phili. Well that day is today and OMG...the broth is amazing. I love chicken soup and the broth is the most important element and this broth by far is one of the absolute best I have ever had in my entire life. Everyone needs to check this place out and also the chicken dipping sauce is to die for!!! Run don't walk...you will not regret this and will judge all chicken broths going forward against this one. Hats off to the Chef and owner who is also...
