Taqueria Hernandez Food Truck — Restaurant in Philadelphia

My friend and I live very closely to this food truck. We pass by all the time. However, when it comes to mexican food we always go to Los Gallos! (our to-go place!) One night, we decided to just give it a try, because why not? We ordered an al pastor cemita, with a side order of chips and guacamole.

The chips and guacamole was fine. Portion size of the guacamole can be improved slightly? But it was no big deal.

The cemita was the WORST portion size i have ever seen. Taste was great. But, being a big fan of cemitas- I was extremely disappointed. The price is the exact same thing as Los Gallos, and it was 100% better there. I wanted to support this food truck very bad, but I had 80% bread, 10% meat, and not even HALF of an avacado- it was a quarter of a half!! 5%? Barely ANY cheese too (5% cheese too 😑) We were so so disappointed…The moment I was handed the bag, I knew the weight was a little off (being a big fan of cemitas, I love and knew how the “weight” it usually is). I strongly regret not taking pictures. Just please do not waste your money here, walk down two blocks and go to Los Gallos. Feel free to try, but I promise you, you will be disappointed. I recently tried Taqueria Hernandez ' food truck and it was a delightful Mexican food experience. The tacos were flavorful and packed with fresh ingredients, and their salsa verde had just the right amount of kick. The prices were reasonable, and the service was quick and friendly. I highly recommend trying their carnitas tacos or even better...

Great place to stop if you're on the go or if your hungry with the munchies on the weekend. They're open late on the weekends passed midnight too.
