I highly recommend this store! My family has had phones repaired here in the past, Ty always does a Great Job, so I brought my iPhone and new screen to him yesterday. I was happy to see this is a family run business. He is the owner, which is a plus and his work space is right at the counter, so I was able to watch him change the screen. I knew there was an issue with the port for my screen (I will explain below). Ty told me about it when he opened my phone and showed me what I knew; however, he told me in a very professional way and explained to me exactly what the previous worker did to my phone. Ty put my screen protector on in 60 seconds. This is my store from now on!
My screen cracked after I dropped my phone, even though it was in the otter box. I work near the Fashion District and I saw the phone repair store underground in the Fashion District so I took my phone there. The worker said he could replace my screen, destroyed my screen taking it off, then tried to plug in the screen he had. I watched him pushing hard down on the adapter and even said something, then he said something that could have been in English, but I didn’t understand. He said he didn’t have another screen, he will order one, it will take about 2 hours for him to get it, offered me to put my SIM card in a loaner phone, and when I said absolutely NOT he tried to plug my phone into a cord that ran into drawer. I then I had to argue with him to give me my phone back.
I then walked to a phone repair store on 15th and Walnut St. The worker put a screen on but told me it was a different one than the one previously on my phone. He said this one is thicker. I asked if it will still work the same and he said yes that the one on previously is not as good. He told me after he fixed it that there is 2 broken prongs on my adaptor, but that I shouldn’t have any issues. He gave me an iPad to complete to pay and it took me to the Google review page and I was told I had to leave positive feedback on there to get a discounted price. I left and my phone kept messing up, jumping, and activating options I had not touched, so I called multiple times and finally received a call from the owner Mike who tried to tell me it was my fault, finally after going back and forth it was determined that the screen may be the issue or the adaptor could be the issue. I was sent to his other store on Temple’s campus. I was told multiple times it would be a different worker or he would be there himself only to find when I walked in the same worker. After going back and forth, I allowed him to change the screen. Here, he cracked the screen I just paid them for, as he took it off, then he had to search for another one. He tried to tell me he could send away to have the piece he broke fixed but I would be without a phone for at least 6 weeks, or he could try to put something on top to keep the connector engaged. He rigged my he screen adapter and then to top it off he tried to charge me for the screen he cracked.
Please be careful who you take your phone to. I will be brining my phone to Ty from now on. I want to kick myself for not taking my phone to him in the...
Read moreQuick and friendly service. I came in this past weekend on Saturday and had my phone screen fixed within an hour.
CASH ONLY
For my iPhone 11 Pro this service was around $100-120.
Screen looks great, but certainly does not match an original Apple screen: distorts display colors, the “touch feel” of the screen is “soft” and not as crisp, and I inconsistently experience “dead spots” on screen for touch—especially when...
Read moreThe first time i went here they didn't have compressed air and seemed confused about why I would want it.
The second time I went there the guy became confused and couldn't tell the difference between a male and female VGA cable.
Not sure who these guys cater to, but the people working there are clearly NOT tech savvy at all.
I wouldn't take any advice from them...
