This is an old standard on the Temple food truck scene. It's been on campus for as long as I've been teaching. Always dependable. Always super friendly service. Also, a great value-- generous portions, and still under $10 for teppanyaki. Most recently, I ordered the shrimp over rice. Flavor was decent: soy, ginger, garlic in a sugary sauce (presumably cornstarch thickened). If you like that familiar American-Asian sweetness with a strong savory/sodium/saltiness, you won't be disappointed. Definitely add the hot sauce for some chili-garlic kick. I do wish they used bigger shrimp, but I don't see how they could keep the prices so low if they did. I also want more broccoli. I mean, there's plenty of veggies, but it's mostly shredded cabbage and carrots...which makes for a nice crunchy mouth feel, but more green things would help me trick myself into believing that I'm eating something healthy. Overall, the Teppanyaki Truck is among Temple's stalwart choices; it won't blow your mind, but it will satisfy your belly. And it's hard to imagine that anyone who eats here wouldn't eventually return for more.

Must try Number 9. Best food place at Temple University. Have been eating there for 7 years! They are super nice to customers.

My boyfriend is a Temple alumni and ever since covid, we’ve been cravinggggg their fried chicken and donkatsu platter. After 3 years, we finally made the time to go today for lunch, and it really hit the spot 😭😭 their food is so homey. Their prices are cheap for inflation hitting every business!!! They’re a sweet and caring older couple who cook together. If you’re a Temple student or live around the area, definitely make yourself a regular here!!!! Won’t disappoint :) FYI you can call ahead to pick up. Usually takes...

No complaints about the service. The lady taking orders was very nice and helpful. I just felt a bit misled with my Beef Teppanyaki. The picture on the truck has sliced beef and I got ground beef that really didn’t have any taste. For $10, it’s not terrible but I expected to get the quality in the picture instead of bland...
