TLO Event Complex — Attraction in Philadelphia

As nice as this place has the potential to be, it still needs some TLC! The what use to be nice white round white sofa couches, are dirty and chewed up, They should be thrown out and replaced. The ceiling tiles are covered in mold (a few in the back) and stained from a leak, the tables need a good cleaning, the floor had sticky stuff on them from a previous event two hours earlier. So paying $100. Deposit doesn't mean you will find things clean and orderly as they should have been. I personally had to come in and ask for the tables to be.wiped off and for the broom and dust pan and swept the floor myself. ( under staffed) The owner showed up, did his walk through, helped himself to a plate of our food, (never asked) never even said hello to my daughter, or Happy Birthday. When it was time to give back the $100. deposit, he was no where to be found. Told my daughter to come back tomorrow after 1pm and still wasn't there, nor answered his phone when employee tried to reach him on her behalf. Never again! Never do business with this place. After several conversations with the owner that were total confusion I should have trusted my gut and went with another venue. Unfortunately I gave these people my deposit. The day I gave the deposit the ditzy help kept leaving the money on the table and walking all around the venue. Twice someone walked in off the street came to the back and startled us. Luckily no one stole the money and we were not harmed. She kept forgetting to lock the doors at 8:30 pm in North Philadelphia. Two weeks later I get a call stating that they double booked. I went to get the money and the owner sent his flunky. He came out to take money from another customer and couldn't even offer a sincere apology. I told him who I was he said ok, took the money from the other customer and went back in the office. I would have considered changing the day but his nonchalant attitude turned my off. Then they wanted to give me a check. No no...I paid cash and I want my cash back. No just no. The first time I came to this place was to decorate for a wedding. This place is not worth it at all. Came here for my second time today for a show. Came out to see a performance. Umm...why did it take so long to get started. Doors were supposed to open at 7. We stood outside for atleast 20 minutes before they opened them. Then they were super unorganized with getting people into the venue. They only had someone patting down men and not women. So unsafe. Once we got in it took FOREVER!! to get the first performer on stage. They kept apologizing but like really.... some people paid alot of money for booths and if you didn't buy one you had to stand.... Apparently the owner was not there as well but you should have people that can handle the business when you are not there. Not like he cares because everyone who has met him say that he is horrible.
