My husband and I were visiting our son (a freshman) for parents weekend at Temple University. We were very surprised and disappointed to find that the campus bookstore is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. That they didn’t make an exception to their schedule for parents weekend does not make good business sense. We are aware that we can order items online, but that denies us of the bookstore experience. If unable to be open for a full day, it seems being open for a few hours at least would be beneficial. As my husband and I stood outside of the store, several other families walked up to the sign and were greeted with disappointment. We hope when we visit in the future, this will have been changed. For now, if we have to order online, it likely won’t be directly from the campus store.
