This is my third time ordering from this store. The first time my order was correct. The second time I received different items then what was asked for over the phone and did not realize until I came home. This time I order a milk like purée that has black beans in it. Unknown to me, I thought this was the same item I’ve purchased from other ethnic African restaurants. I had bought 4 of these totaling $20 dollars. Even while in the store one of the products I had asked for I was told was a Guinean purée. I felt as though if the items I listed were Guinean they should’ve made me aware that the item I was getting was not the same as what they were selling. I tried calling upon eating the first bowl to resolve the issues of me mistaking a dish I commonly eat to theirs. The gentleman who answer couldn’t seem to understand how a simple mishap could have took place when similar dishes are served in Africa especially west Africa. He was very ignorant and arrogant to tell me “that this was not a Guinean store” but still proceed to go through with the purchase I thought was similar to the Guinean purchase I usually buy. Will be disputing this charge because the other 3 items will have to be discarded. I was not informed of a no refund policy by this man who answered or anything just pure ignorance...

Wanted to try TOUBA, Seneglese Restaurant in Olney I love ethnic food and is accustomed to eating with that being said customer service was absolutely amazing my friend and I were greeted by a very friendly and personable guy at the register who answered all of our questions, there were a few items on the menu that I wanted but they didn't have on this day so we tried something else which had lamb which I love. He did explain that we would have to wait 20 minutes which was not a problem so we just took a walk upon returning 25 minutes the food still was not done which again not a problem because we really wanted to support and good food takes time sometimes lol, and I was excited and hungry to try unfortunately the lamb was not tender very chewy and tough the jolof rice was not bad but wanted to have the meat to accompany so needles to say we were a bit disappointed but not enough to not try again something else like fish or chicken, and hopefully the cassava I want to support this small business but may take away is work on that lamb a little more and you have a loyal customer in me also the flavors...

Let’s normalize leaving honest reviews for these “viral” restaurants. I waited an hour for the lamb dibi and jollof which would have been fine had I got more meat than bones. Might have been 2 small boneless bites the rest was bones and onions that were so spicy I couldn’t even finish for $20. The jollof was also very spicy which I’ve never experienced in the past. I can deal with some heat but it was way too spicy to really enjoy. Atleast mark the items on the menu that are spicy with a realistic level system. Not many options in the area for African food maybe I’ll return and try something else.. maybe not but this is my...

We decided to dine in, and I have to say this place blew me away. From the start, the service was warm and welcoming. They brought out complimentary coffee and donuts, which were absolutely delicious and set the tone for the meal. When the food arrived, I had the Yassa with fish—and wow, it was hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Between the incredible food, the amazing coffee, and the top-notch service, I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is my first time trying Senegalese food. I got the lamb dibi with jollof and plantain. I spent around $23. The portion was fine. The lamb was delicious, and a hint of mustard. The plantain was very sweet, just a tad too greasy for my liking. The rice was my least favorite. Maybe it was the type of rice they used, I didn’t like the texture, it also didn’t have that much flavor.
