A Flavorful Journey at Warung Filadelphia
I recently dined at Warung Filadelphia and had an absolutely delightful experience. I ordered the Bakso Campur, Risoles, and Tahu Goreng Isi, and each dish was a testament to the quality and authenticity that Warung Filadelphia strives to deliver.
Bakso Campur: The Bakso Campur was a standout. The meatballs were incredibly tender and flavorful, and the broth was rich and satisfying. It had the perfect balance of spices and was packed with delicious, fresh ingredients. The addition of noodles and vegetables made it a hearty and comforting dish.
Risoles: The Risoles were another highlight. Crispy on the outside and wonderfully savory on the inside, they were a great appetizer. The filling was well-seasoned and complemented the crunchy texture of the outer layer perfectly.
Tahu Goreng Isi: The Tahu Goreng Isi was a pleasant surprise. The tofu was fried to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a soft, flavorful filling. It was both satisfying and light, making it a great accompaniment to the other dishes.
Service and Atmosphere: The service at Warung Filadelphia was warm and attentive. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with a casual charm that made for a relaxed dining experience.
Overall, Warung Filadelphia exceeded my expectations. The combination of flavorful dishes, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indonesian cuisine. I’m already looking forward to...
Read moreA lovely neighborhood Indonesian restaurant owned by a small family business! I ordered the risoles which were super crispy, flavorful and delicious. First time ever having these and I was delighted. For our main dish we ordered the nasi babek goreng which was their crispy duck dish, the duck was in fact super crispy and deliciously tender. It had a bunch of sides to accompany the duck which I am very unfamiliar with but I can tell you they were good accompaniments. They serve the duck fat/oil to dip the duck in which is very indulgent, rich and buttery. The woman who owns it and her daughter let us sample a dessert at the end of our experience which was awesome (wish I remembered the name) but we felt very welcomed by them and treated like family. They really wanted to make sure we enjoyed everything and were very happy to share their food and information about the food to us. Definitely come to south Philly to...
Read moreQuite a surprise finding this restaurant, just outside of Center City. This little neighborhood restaurant is smack dab in the middle of a residential block. Parking was very easy if I was free. I’ve never had Indonesian food before when we walked in we were greeted by a young lady named Rachel. She was very helpful explaining us a few vegan options that they had and with a few tweaks, many of their dishes can be made vegan you’ll see in the pictures and videos. I have some commentary about what each D dish is comprised of with the help of Rachel. This restaurant was born out of the love for her mom‘s cooking after years of feeding family and friends and running a small business out of their home they decided to take the chance of opening this cute little restaurant. All dishes were prepared fresh with layers of flavoring that I’ve never had before. He was so enjoyable. I’ll let the pictures and videos speak...
