I ordered take out. I was sitting in the car waiting on my order. I received a text that my order was ready. I went inside. I see my some containers on the counter (looks like my order 🤔).There were 3 workers at the resister talking. I approached and stated my name and that I have an online order to one of the workers. She said what is your name again, I gave her my name again. I step away from the register so other customers coming in could check-in ( small, congested area) I’m standing there waiting on my order (containers still sitting on the counter ❄️) for about 3-5 minutes. The worker I spoke with was still there talking with one of the other workers that walked up and then she proceeded to help another customer. The worker she was talking started walking the opposite way of my food and past me. I said excuse me, I am waiting on my take out order and my name. She turned around went to the register ( the worker I spoke to initially is still at the register) started talking to the other worker, went to the register and printed out my receipt. She went over to the containers sitting on the counter (containers that had been sitting there when I walked in) and starts putting the containers in bags. She yells to the kitchen “is this all of this order?”. I see a man say “ yeah”. She packs it all up without looking at the receipt to make sure everything is in the bag. At this point I 🤬 (in my head). She brings 2 bags, I take them and leave. I didn’t check the bags because I was so irritated and the bags were tied to tight opening them would have left me carrying multiple loose containers 😡. I get back to my location and one of the side of bacon is not in the bag 🤬 and my Avocado toast does not have the everything bagel seasoning that come as one of the ingredients. I call them and them go to get the bacon, again 🤬, everything bagel seasoning forgotten. The food I ordered was not tasteful. Perhaps my initial encounter, nah that is not possible 😳. First off, this is not your run-of-the-mill breakfast joint. They’re not fancy, it’s not a large place, no extravagance in décor, but by all means a comfortable eatery – with the exception maybe of very hard metal chairs. My wife has a bad back! Otherwise, this place is a great find. They’re what I’d call New American Breakfast Cuisine. Though their menu is not huge by any means, the offerings are very unique, tasty, appetizing and very, very well prepared and executed – and I might add, innovative. They bring the breakfast and brunch scene a distinctive flavor (pardon the pun) of styles, take-offs, interpretations and one-of-a-kinds to your table. Dishes like the Garlic Patty Melt, Broccolini & Eggs, Green Chili Omelette, Green Chili Benedict, Santos Jr. Toast, Breakfast Salads or the Morning Charcuterie Board, not to mention excellent renditions of traditional breakfast drinks such as the incredible Butter Pecan Latte, breakfast Margaritas (especially the Passion Fruit Margarita) and Bloody Marias are incredible. My wife and I recently visited them and found ourselves indulging in a couple of their well portioned and scrumptious entrees. My wife had the decadent Green Chili Omelette, with chicken excellent green chili, smooth tasty crema and wrapped up with Monterey jack cheese - whereby she now swears by. She had never finished everything on any breakfast plate before, she did now! I went for the Chef's Favorite Eggs, which is a corn thinly prepared flatbread topped with three eggs, there special sauce, over an incredible slow-cooked beef, along with cotija cheese, sided by the fab Papas Almuerzo.
