I learned about a beautiful Bosnian tradition where you take a sugar cube and either hold it on your tongue or nibble it between sips of coffee, rather than mixing the sugar into the cup. It creates this amazing balance between the bitterness of the coffee and the slow sweetness of the sugar — such a thoughtful & elegant experience. You know the restaurant is good when the only customers (other than us) appeared to be from the country of origin. Nice quiet place for breakfast if you want something different than the standard American fare. Despite being the only native English-speaking people in there, we were able to order well enough. The food was excellent. Everything was fresh and the Bosnian coffee is worth it alone. The owner gave us free apple pie on the way out....
