If you have a layover, you need to stop in here for a bite. The owner must be brilliant because they have all price ranges and just what you want when you are traveling combined with gourmet options. Kenna took care of us, she was personable and professional, a usually tough balance. The Punk had chicken and waffles. Her quotes, "Everything is SO good!" , "I wish I could eat here again later!", "These are the best waffles I've ever had!", "We can eat here all the time and I will get the same thing over and over!" Pretty sure she liked it. They also offered to allow us to bring in nearby McDonald's for the Punk, so if you have little ones that like what they like, this is your best option. I tried the pastrami style ribs, I must admit, they were different and really good. I would get them again even if they are the most expensive thing on the menu. We had a guest diner who tried the sweet mustard slaw from the Punks plate. Although she is a mayo loving, mustard hating individual, she said she likes this slaw better than regular slaw. DEFINITELY ON THE TO DO LIST IF YOU HAVE TIME IN PHOENIX.

Avoid this place for breakfast. The owner and cook, he can not be a chef, should be embarrassed to have served and charged me $20 for such garbage. Even the waiter said they were forced to serve breakfast so they got the cheapest and blandest food they could get. At best, this was the breakfast I passed up at the hotel. Everything was pre-prepared and served out of warmers. The eggs were microwaved. The food came out in about two minutes after ordering and It could not have been freshly made. I was served a processed sausage patty and baked or deep fried potatoes. The English muffin was probably cooked an hour ago and was dry and hard. I walked all the way from the A gates to sit down and relax before my flight and this was a disaster. I went to McDonald’s after to get something worth eating. The service was unenthusiastic and there was no attention after the service. And I had to go to the bar and ask for a refill. Sorry to the Owner, but I read a review that said best airport food ever and it was certainly not the case for my visit. You should be embarrassed to serve that.

This was a refreshingly quiet place to stop for something to eat in terminal 4 (next to gate B22) of the Phoenix Airport. It wasn't very busy (12:30 - lunch time). The waiter was attentive, and the food was seriously wonderful! Our wait between ordering and getting our food was short. It is not inexpensive by any standard, but worth it because the flavor is great. I got the Ciao burger, my husband got the fried chicken sandwich. Both came with fries, which were also good. Everything was made to order and served hot. Weirdly enough this place does not have straws, but they do have a full bar for those who want that. There is also a small grab and go next to the restaurant. I would stop here again if I were traveling through Phoenix.

I just give up! I'm clearly bad at picking good places to eat. The pro... It was busy (Monday afternoon) and I didn't have to wait to be seated and I didn't have to wait long for a server.

The rest.. I ordered of the "SPECIALTY MENU" for the day, some Turkey melt, that comes with steak fries. The plate comes out, sandwich and some mixed green salad. I asked the server about it, he says "oh, we are out of fries"...not that it's that big of a deal, but I might have ordered something else.....So fine, I will eat the salad with whatever dressing you sent, since I guess I had no choice. The server also neglected to tell me that the turkey came from last nights leftovers!!!! $14 bucks for a dry a@! sandwich that I choked on!..Thankfully, I had water. Also, good thing there was hardly any dried turkey left on the other half of the sandwich, now I don't feel as guilty about leaving it on the plate. As I am ready to call it quits, an employee tells the guest at the other table that they have fried now. They even commented that I got hipped and he just walked away. Then when you ask other employees about it, they just brush it off like "oh well..." and no one knows what's going on. Are there any managers there? Does anyone communicate there? Maybe today was a bad day. Anyhow, I had to go somewhere else to buy food..again. When friggin McDonalds is better than a sit down restaurant both in food quality and SERVICE. #YOUSUCK

At least now I know where to avoid on my many Phoenix layovers...

Awful!!! Terrible service from Alondra!! This young lady should reconsider her choice of employment. She was so slow to come to the table to greet and get my drink order. There as no greeting from her, just what does d I want to drink. Then when she came back I tried to ask her questions about menu. She speaks very softly, which was really hard to hear and understand. I asked about a specific item and she listed off ingredients. It sounded good except for the black beans. I ask if I could get with out. She said no.. you can just get a plain cheese or chicken quesadillas (which was not in menu). I said no thanks I will keep looking. She never offered suggestions or asked what I might be looking for. The table next to me had a guy server and he provided suggestions. When my food came it was not what I thought- truffle Mac and Cheese. It was so bland and lukewarm. Finally she came back by table- I had to wave her down. I asked for salt, pepper, green chilis - she said tabasco , so I said sure. She never asked how my food was. I tried to doctor it up, but by then it was cold. I stacked up my silverware, the universal sign for I am done, but nothing. After sitting there for about 5 minutes, she asked if I wanted check closed out. I paid, but left no tip. I know about pay and such, but she gets a monetary tip for good service- well, did not get that so she got nothing. I do not recommend this restaurant. There is a McDonalds 2 doors down, you...

Ciao Cowboy pairs a welcoming bar with an overzealous menu. The staff was very prompt, professional, present... and the quality of food seemed high. But the end product just left me with a 'meh' feeling; a gross feeling.

The menu is priced high, likewise they menu features more high end meat cuts/selection... Definitely not the norm for airport dining. That's not necessarily a bad thing though; in a world of mediocre, why not try to shine, right??

I ordered the Wagyu beef burger ($20), which came with homemade chips... The burger features Wagyu beef (higher end beef), Chili Verde, a slice of bacon, and some sort of jalapeño cheese/sauce. Sounded great! Ultimately I ended up with too many flavors that didn't mesh well, followed by an unseasoned (weak sear) patty. I mean, if the meat is the star, it can't be done wrong (and it shouldn't be hidden under a kitchen of ingredients). And under seasoning a $20 dollar burger is out right murder. The burger seamed overly creamy, which was obviously due to over complicating the design. Truth be told, Whataburger destroys this overpriced, overcomplicated burger. Chips were good though.

I'll try this place again though, maybe on a longer layover... Will...
