Del Taco — Restaurant in Phoenix

This location is a hot mess. I had ordered 2 bean tacos, 2 Beyond guacamole tacos, and fries (requested to be well done). The fries I received were cold and stale, definitely not well done in the slightest. I brought them back, and the girl apologized and cooked up a new batch. Again, not well done, but at least they were fresh and hot this time. After I got home, I noticed one of the Beyond tacos had cheese (it's not supposed to have any by default). It looked like they had accidentally sprinkled some in there and then tried to pick it out because there were only a few shreds, and my other taco didn't have any. Not great for anyone who's lactose intolerant. On top of that, the Beyond meat was overly salted, to the point that it wasn't edible, and it was cold on top of that. The guacamole was also browning and clearly been sitting out all day. Since they were all inedible, I decided to see if the bean tacos were any better and found that they had forgotten my 2nd taco. I've never seen a location that not only served obviously old food but also messed up the order this badly. Definitely not convinced this location passes any sort of...

I just made the mistake of coming here again for the 4th time after they messed my order up 3 times in a row. My husband and i LOVE Del Taco and have been getting Del Taco nearly once a week for YEARS. This is by far the WORST Del Taco in the valley. This time we ordered 6 tacos, 2 half pound burritos, salsa, guac, and sour cream. They forgot HALF of our order. I was too exhausted to check before I drove off and realized when I got home. When I called to the restaurant, the guy who answered literally told me verbatim "awe man bro, we are blazed and forgot". This place is a joke. And for the manager that reads this review, just know that the phone call was recorded. The photo of the receipt was captured along with the missing order we paid for and never forgot. You can also be assured that our company is partnered with Phoenix New Times. And all of this is being forwarded to Del Taco corporate, along with the local media who loves a good scoop on Nightmare restaurants in the valley. I was upset the first time. 4 times in a row you unapologetically give me a fraction of what I paid for and never reimburse...

One of the worse experiences. We haven't had Del Taco in a while because Texas doesn't have them, so we were excited to go there. The drive thru teller informs us that it's a very long wait time due to large orders. I tell him that's fine. A few minutes later he walks out to our car and tells us that they are behind in orders. We inform we are fine. Well, minutes pass and no one takes our order so we drive up to the window thinking the box is broken.

This part is funny and sad. Two employees tell us that we are messing with their time and we need to move. I said forward or back? He didn't answer. Then another person, presuming the manager stroms towards the window and sticks his head out telling us we are messing their timing and we have to move! We tell him we just want to put our order in and can wait.

He says you can't order and it's too long. Pretty much, don't eat here.

We surmised that they didn't want to tell us the wait time over the speaker because it was recorded? Anyways, we left and ate elsewhere.
