I sometimes take advantage of the "Too Good To Go" app and their surprise bags as an opportunity to try new places at minimal cost. This time, we decided we needed therapy, or should I say, "Dr. Taco therapy!" Located on 17th Ave and Van Buren, it serves up street tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and fries. We got both a small $4.99 and a large $6.99 surprise bag, which they retailed at $15.00 and $21.00, respectively. The small came with a quesabirria taco, rice, beans, and a drink; the large had green chili chicken enchiladas. I was a little disappointed at the portion size. If I had paid $15 or $21, I would have been upset; however, my burrito taco was juicy and cheesy, and the rice, although plain, was very full of flavor. My only complaint was that it came with one taco only; they should consider adding a second taco or consommé. The green chili enchiladas were too spicy for my wife or myself, so be aware—not for the mild of heart.

So I found this place through an app by accident. I ordered through the app and I messed my own order up so I decided to just give it a try still and the owner hooked me up for the misunderstanding which was super nice of him. I got two tacos de Carne Asada and two de Al Pastor. Let me tell you guys the flavor really surprised me. The salsa as well, I was expecting nothing but heat but it had flavor and mild heat. I was expecting some regular tacos, nothing that would stand out. But these did stand out to me as a Mexican who has ate tacos my whole life. I will be paying Dr Taco Therapy another visit.

I usually don’t post reviews, but Dr. Taco Therapy they truly deserved one. I’m absolutely Fascinated with the food from this place! On my first visit, I ordered Quesabirria and consomé, which has such an amazing flavor. Oh.. & don’t get me started on the Jamaica with their delicious Strawberry refresher..!!! It’s perfect for this summer in AZ! (Can’t wait to try more on their menu!) *** Best part is knowing this place is run by the true owner; that’s how you know your food will be made with amazing quality!

DR. TACO THERAPY SAVED MY DAMN LIFE!

Came in hangry. Emotionally unstable. One text away from hitting up my ex. Then… One bite of those tacos and BOOM—healed. Stress? Gone. Skin? Glowing. Bills? Still unpaid but suddenly not my problem. Those tortillas? Hugged me tighter than my last relationship. 🫠

And don’t even get me started on the owner Kindest soul alive. Greets you like you’ve been homies for years. Serving tacos AND emotional support. Cracked a joke, made my day, and handed me food like it was a blessing straight from heaven.

This ain’t just a taco truck. It’s a full blown healing center with hot sauce. 10/10. I’m a better person now. And full. And...
