Soy Hibachi — Restaurant in Phoenix

Used to love this spot when the owner was a nice, humble friendly guy serving it up at the Pemberton PHX from his food truck. Now each time I come the service and quality of food gets worse and worse. I invited a friend along with me whose a pescatarian he got home and everything he received was steak! Literally after ordering over $100 of food within the both of us the woman agrued with us over how many extra sauces we had paid for after ordering pick up waiting 40 mins before we came to pick it up and still waiting over a hour for our food! Like the sauce should've been complimentary at that point. This last visit was the final straw! This same friend returned to actually attempt to try the food (I waited in the car cuz I had already threw my hands up with this place) my friend thought to mention his past experience to the owner when the situation escalated and the owner actually pulled a gun on him and chased him down the street following their altercation. Needless to say, just go to EZ Habachi and save yourself the time and awful experience! Very disappointed in the owners actions! Like what?! I have to say I was here just picking up an order for someone else through Uber eats, and the chef, Ruben, was so pleasant. He kept asking me about the customer who had ordered because he wanted to make sure that the customer was taken care of and give him everything he liked. I had a pleasant conversation with him trying to see what was the best thing to order on the menu and he said everything was good. After dropping off the orders for the customer I decided to come back and give it a try. The staff and chef Ruben were so kind and took care of me. Ruben made a little order just for me and I have to honestly say WOW. The rice, the noodles, the salmon, and the sauce were ALL SO GOOD AND FLAVORFUL! It's that flavorful where you still taste it on your tongue after leaving and still think about how good the meal was. I loved how he cooked the rice but I'm hooked on those udon noodles honestly 😋 🤤 I appreciate Ruben and his sincerity and how he interacts with both staff and customers. Honestly I don't know where to start. I came with my brother and his girlfriend to try something knew for once. Dont get me wrong the service was great its just the food that sucked honestly we ordered steak and shrimp with steamed fried rice for 3 and it all came out to $92 dollars!!! Not just that the drinks where 5 bucks a drink why???? So much, no othere places be selling drinks for this much. Dont get me started on the portions more rice and vegetables then meat literally only the top 1/5 was meat the rest was A LOT of rice and salty vegetables, and for extra meat it was 10 bucks and i ain't broke but even I knew that shi was a rip off. You know its serious when im writing a whole paragraph about this place. Overall don't recommend way better places to eat then this place unless you just wanna try...
