Very much worth visiting and spending quiet time remembering. This was the exact moment in time when Americans, granted temporarily, really became one nation with a single compelling goal.
Before December 7th, 1941, Americans were divided. Not as much as now arguably, but very much divided. Many concerned about the terrible news and worse rumors from Europe. Others who felt the US could be an island, insolated from the world's troubles.
That Sunday morning changed everything.
Also be sure to visit the Battleship Arizona museum on the 3rd or 4th floor of the capital building. Much history there, photos and a beautiful model that makes the period when the Arizona was built until it was sunk come to life.

Facing it, on the right- there's a concrete wall with a pretty decent sized sign that you can read to learn more.
