I’ve been a long time customer since before they switched management. Great food however horrible service. I’ve had my up and down where the food had been serviced wrong were their was bones still found inside my meat inside my tacos. However today was a different day. I called in my food picked up my food 15mins later had to walk way back to my job to get 5cents because they didn’t tell me how much my order was which I was only 5cents short. After getting the money and getting the food got to work saw there were no sauce in my bag and completely at this time I no longer wanted the food because it had been over 30mins of this ongoing issue. Returned to get a refund and the ladies gave me such a problem as if I wasn’t a regular customer. She told me I couldn’t get a refund however their were no policy rules up stating no refunds Not even the receipt. At this point I wanted to speak to the manager. So the ladies start to laugh in my face and speaks Spanish and call the manager.... who later stated I am able to receive a full refund. These ladies should horrible customer service and for that I will never go their again I don’t feel comfortable being a black woman and being mocked in a store I felt comfortable coming into every day....
Read moreI’ve been going here for 5-6 years before they changed the name, and whole design. I never had bad experiences only one time years ago. They have only gotten better in business over time. I really like the tortas, red chilaquiles, and enchiladas rojas. Pozole and chips/bread is very good for sick days too. It just gets pretty spicy with seasonings they give you to add! I love guajillos in pozole but it can get really spicy!! My dad always got the rolled tacos (every time) lol before he passed. I was hoping Keith Lee would review this place and help a bit but they still deserve 4-5 stars with how long and consistent they’ve seemed to be there. Tostadas and hard tacos are good too if you’re in for that. They were never rude to me or any family. Thank you. Just try different things if you get a bad experience in my opinion. Jamaica is very good, horchata is a little heavy on the cinnamon which is the only thing I wish was better.. then they would be PERFECT!! They are still my favorite in all of Arizona and hope they stay a long time! Gracias para la buena comida todos los dias. Buena servicio...
Read moreMaybe it's not intentional (people do have RBF) but the young woman working the front counter needs some tips on engaging and smiling. Her side eye and demeanor made it awkward and almost zero hospitality and customer service like she didn't want us there. We even ordered in English and Spanish but still same short and cold response. We spent almost $100, it was 7:30 on a Friday night...we could've went anywhere but we decided to give El Gran Taquito a try. We felt rushed for our order and she was already trying to put the salsas away. The guests right after us had to ask for theirs. 8:15 she was wiping all the tables around us and lingering around trying to hurry us out. The food is good but price wise could've been a bit more substance if comparing to the other "-erto, -ico" establishments. Presentation was good and they used actual dishes not in take out boxes. Maybe it would be more busy if it was a friendlier atmosphere, the ladies cooking in back looked like they didn't even want...
