Firehouse Subs 51 Baseline — Restaurant in Phoenix

POOR EXPERIENCE!!!!!....I frequent other Firehouse subs so I expected the same quality I usually receive at other stores. I placed my order, firehouse salad with chicken no tomato no cucumber and a grilled cheese kids meal, not too overly complicated. The cashier fumbled the order so many times that another employee had to step in. That employee then stated that cucumbers don't come on our salads, however the menu states that it does. I then proceed to ask for the cashier if he would honor the military discount, he said yes, however it was never given.It took the average time for a busy day. I then got my food and decided to check my food before I left, only because I had lost all confidence at this point, guess what's on the salad...tomato....I then point this out, at which time an associate might have been some sort of manager makes a point to ensure that I want no tomato...yes no tomato...that's what the receipt said. I then for peace of mind check my sons kids meal which is supposed to have a rice crispy treat included...guess what's not in the bag...rice crispy treat...and what makes this better scenario, I had to tell them 2 times just to convince them it wasn't it wasn't in the bag.At this point I will no longer be a customer at any other Firehouse subs franchises, I don't want a free meal or coupons...I want my money back, I do not possess the patience to put up with this sort of display of...

I gave this a dislike 2 star as a personal opinion. The food is edible i did not get sick from it, the service was slow but professional. they pumped out one sandwich every 7-10 mins. They were friendly but in the sandwich world that is too long! They also only serve PEPPER bacon, why would any self respecting company not offer a bacon without pepper and have some applewood on the side for those of us who do not eat pepper? The meats were cheap tasting as if they ran to fry's market and warmed the cheapest meats off the shelf. I originally was going to order a turkey bacon but was not able too because they only offered pepper bacon, i substituted for the hook and ladder. They ham tasted cheap. The prices are a tad too high for this quality. all in all I would not recommend this company for your next sandwich. There are several out there that are much better at or even below this price point. I will not disrespect this company to advertise others but I just would not recommend this one. I have been eating and reviewing places from Tuscon to flagstaff for the past 10 years. This particular firehouse sub, did not seem like each employee was trained well for their positions. one employee had to tell the other to take my order while i was standing there...

Update 3/7/23: Dined in today and split a large turkey bacon ranch... its been a minute since ive been here... It looks like new faces/maybe new managent?. Well, the food was MUCH BETTER!!! I'm not sure what, but it was very delicious! I will have to start coming back again!

Previous review: Not sure whats going on with this location. Ordered turkey bacon ranch med and small. We waited 25 minutes for our sanwiches and when we got them they were about room temp. Cheese looked cold. My daughter's small came out wheat bread. Waited another 5 minutes to have them redo her sandwich. When she got it, it was abnormally hot we found out when she bit into it and burned her mouth. I should have figured something was going on when i saw a different customer pick his sandwich up and steam was coming out of his meat like if it was a fog machine. Never thought hers would be steaming hot since ours was nearly cold. Other than that the food was good. They did put too much ranch so the sandwich was messy. But for me I love ranch so I didn't mind it. My daughter and wife weren't too...
