I have been coming to Nails of The World since 2008, however, today is the last time that I will visit this establishment. I only let Michelle do my nails and she had been doing them since 2008 as well. I have had to listen to Amy’s (the owner) loud mouth, arrogance, talking badly about customers, and rudeness because I preferred Michelle and did not want to go to another nail salon. I had a 9 o’clock appointment with Michelle and Amy didn’t get there to open up the shop until 9:15am. Meanwhile, myself and the employees were outside waiting in this muggy heat for Amy to get there and open up. If you’re (the owner) going to be late opening at least give an employee a key to open. Amy was very rude to everybody and I explain to her that I had another appointment and that I was there on time. She then began to yell at Michelle and her language and when I told her if you have something to say and it’s about me say it in English so I know what you’re saying she then told me she told Michelle to not let me have any more morning appointments. I explained to her I didn’t need to be there at all. I could always go someplace else and of course, with her attitude, she said fine with a smile. I also told her that if that’s the case I will be sure to let a lot of other people that I know my experience, because I do know several people that go there, she then lost the smile and got quiet. After all of this mess, Michelle started doing my nails and in doing so she over filed three nails on my left hand, and when I showed them to her because she was hurting me, she then told me it’s because my skin grew over the nails… this I have never heard of and explained to her “No, you way over filed”. The more she tried to fix my nails the worst they are are looking. I told her not to polish my nails That way I could fix them myself. After walking out of the salon I noticed my thumb on my right hand had completely lifted and I went back in and she told me to come back in an hour or tomorrow and I told her I am not coming back in again. This by far has been the absolute worst experience. Having to deal with Amy’s loud mouth and rudeness and now such a horrible job by someone who’s been doing my nails for the last 15years is unacceptable!! I also found it strange that I have been charged $35.00 for each fill but yet today was $20.00… I feel prices are made up as they go… I understand maybe Michelle was having an off day but between 4 nails getting messed up and Amy’s rudeness I will be going to another establishment and strongly DO NOT recommend...
Read moreI don’t usually complain however, I felt it was important to address the issue. I got a fill for $35 and the color selected did not dry. When I noticed the polish bubbling, I immediately went back to request the polish be removed and replaced with a lighter color since the polish appeared to be cheap and may not dry due to the dark tone. However, they advised they could repaint the same color for free but to change it all together it will cost. After several attempts to let them know I didn’t care about the charge, I just wanted the color off, they still insisted I keep the same color. While the lady attempted to repolish the nails she even noticed it wasn’t drying after several attempts. However, she still declined to make the executive decision to just remove the color. Needless to say, the polish began to bubble again later that day. I went in for the third (and final) time only to be treated as if I was expecting something for free. I didn’t care if I had to pay another $30 to replace to color, however, as a business you shouldn’t treat paying customers in such a manor. They did a poor job on my nails and I would not recommend or return. I hope moving forward, they can began to stand behind quality work rather than making people pay for low quality service. I did not stay on the third visit to have them repolish the nails, I just left after she said I had to wait 30-40 mins. This was an inconvenience to me to have to come to the shop three times. But…to each its own! I think I got exactly...
Read moreI brought my niece in to get acrylic sets on both of us. Her nails came out cute, other than her design request being ignored. Not only did we wait for 30 minutes past our appointment time, my tech never even wiped anything down between clients, the place was over crowded, not enough seating. My nails were horrible. I didn't notice at first because I have bad social anxiety . As I was waiting for my niece to get done drying her nails, I noticed how terrible mine were. I ended up with another technician "fixing" them, however because I'd already been there 2 hours, I didn't have time to wait around forever.Nor did I want to sit through another set of bad nails, while she had another client in her chair already, taking time from them. dI was incredibly disappointed that this was my first experien after 7 _ears of not getting...
