Talk about TERRIBLE service - I am a DoorDasher, and I work a full time office managerial job Mon-Fri 8-5, so I generally Dash after hours and nights & weekends. Well, this McDonald’s has their hours marked “open 24-hours” online so DoorDash accepts orders as long as they’re self marked open. I took 3 separate orders for this location: 5750 W Thomas Rd - in one night, all around 1-2am. The store was closed - first because their “system was down” 🙄 and then because they now close at 2am instead of 24-hours. There should be a button on the Dasher app that lets me report it closed but I think after so many times of different Dashers reporting it, the button is no longer an option. I was able to report via the closed merchant button once. So the second time it happened my only option was to call live support at DoorDash. The rep for DD got me on the phone and we called the McDonald’s store - there were still people inside the second time because their system was reportedly down even though they should have been open during those specific hours. The door Dash tech-support rep asked the McDonald’s manager for their permission to mark the store closed so that we would not continue to get sent orders and drive all across town to pick them up - only to arrive and the store be closed or the system be down - therefore, not only have the Dashers not get paid but also waste their valuable time when we could be accepting deliveries from other functional merchants. While I was on the phone with DoorDash, trying to get McDonald’s to give permission to mark their store is unavailable, I was sent three more door Dash order requests from the exact same location (I’m about 5-min!). However, the manager at this location refused to give Door Dash permission to mark their store as unavailable. The manager was clearly ignorant, flat out rude and unhelpful, even after the DoorDash rep explained that they would just continue to get orders from customers and delivery drivers. The rep explained that when the customer places an order with the merchant, they have to provide payment right then before it will even get processed & sent to DoorDash drivers, & this means once we get there and the store is closed and we waste even more time to report it, all of those orders have to go through the unnecessary and lengthy (& frustrating!) process of being canceled and refunded - which then keeps the customers money tied-up for up to 10+ days while the process occurs. All of this was clearly explained to this so-called manager and they -still- refused to give permission to mark the store unavailable until the following day. I have sent a request to DoorDash developers to create a filter option on the app which would allow us to not even get sent requests for delivery from McDonald’s (the entire entity), or at least from specific McDonald’s locations, and if it does become an option in the future, I will permanently refuse to accept any McDonald’s orders, and I will filter it completely from my Dashing in the future. Just take out the trash in one fell swoop,...
Read moreThank you for reading the Honest Reviews4u! For some reason my previous review was removed but just to recap and then continue with this second attempt to give this local a second opportunity. Recap: In my previous visit I visited this location to have lunch during noon hours. I eat inside the restaurant the service kios were not working and the restaurant was not clean at all multiply tables were dirty and sadly noticed multiple fly in the order line as well as in the east tables. For does reason I gather it a 1 start. Update: This time I gave this restaurant a second chance and well... It turned worst than the last visit. In this second attempt I placed my order in the drive thru. It was a simple order a hot Mocha however for some unknown reason the employee kept putting a Frappuccino (cold) I kindly corrected her multiple times until she got it right drove up and paid at the 1st window. When I went to the second window the manager gives me wait for it... a Frappuccino I kindly informed her I order a hot Mocha she them bitterly said is the system that is not working. I'm my mine I was like Bru I have the receipt that showed the correct order which feeds from your system. So I reply to her I just wanted the hot Mocha (it was a cold early morning Sunday). She then stated in a condescending tone "You need to move to the front" I look at my back mirror and only saw one call remember is early morning and the place was empty. So I stated no I can wait Mocha only takes 2 minutes to wait. The employee then got very angry and stated very loudly they are short staff (again place was empty with customers but well staff for a hot mocha) I was like Honest that not my issue for a hot Mocha come on. She them said I give you your money back I was very calm but was extremely appalled with her attitude thinking she was the ceo and I was just some random number. She slammed her drive thru wind got my money gave it to me and slammed it again!!!! Well Honest McDonald's food and drink are offered by other competitors just like a pizza joint. The only thing that will set one place apart from another is the quality of service. Not company is to big to fail just ask the big 3 (GM, Ford, Chrysler) which were at the blink of failing because all there customers left them as time...
Read moreI’m editing my previous review. Why? The service and accuracy of my order has changed in recent months. My son loves McDonalds fries and the McSpicy, and I drove out of my way to the Camelback and 67th location or to Bethany Home and 59th McDonalds, but that gets to be too much when you don’t feel like fighting traffic. I’ve used this location for the last three months, and everything in my order has been correct, and the fries hot and fresh, too. I’m one of the few who still drinks my tea unsweetened, and they even get that correct. I should also say I park up and order through the app, not the drive thru, but my orders have been amazingly correct…so I’ve edited my previous review. Keep up the good work 59th and Thomas and I’ll keep coming back. Thank You!!!
Stay away from this location. I was held hostage for 35 minutes in their drive thru while they did a shift change. I have it all on my dash cam that I will be taking to the Phoenix Police Department so they can inform the franchise owner that what they did is illegal. I complained through McDonald’s corporate headquarters, and their General Manager sent me an email saying she attempted to “reach out to me”, but she never did. There are no missed calls on my phone. Her email was quite patronizing so I sent her an email explaining to her I was going to complain to their corporate headquarters, again, stating she lied about “reaching out”, and that I definitely would be taking the dash cam video to the Phoenix Police Department. It’s always been known in the neighborhood that customer service at this location is, and always has been, extremely poor (I’m being polite), but being held hostage in their drive thru for 35 minutes, with no possibility of leaving while they did their shift change, was not only unacceptable, it is illegal. Fast food? There’s nothing fast about this McDonalds. Stay away. If you must have McDonalds, and I get it; their fries are awesome, there’s a McDonalds at 75th and Virginia, as well as a corporate owned location at 83rd and Indian School. If you use either of those two locations, or even use Uber Eats, you will be eating your hot fries at home before you ever place your order from...
